Sifus,
My in laws house grill rusty after 10 yrs ( mild steel powder coat), planning to change to stainless steel 304 for their apartment. Quoted Rm 3.5K, wtf is this chop head price.?
Anybody installed these 1-2 yrs, these type i dono the market price

yes that the typical price, as the price of material and workmanship is expensive especially the welding cost

Paint ur self, < RM50, can paint 2 to 3 layer so can last longer
Why spend more if u feel it's expensive icon_idea.gif

Stainless steel is expensive
The workmanship even more expensive
If you want to skim the price, they can.

The supplier will use low grade stainless steel (grade 200 something)
The welding will be subpar (which it will get rust after few years)

2 years ago when i buy door grille for my condo

powder coat about 1.8k

if SS then almost 2x ..about 3.5k

Should you be calculative in the price (just benchmark the grill weight with raw material market price).

I think ratio of grill quoted price with market raw material price range between 200%~250% should be OK.

all stainless steel still will rust, that is the reason of it need polishing every few year

haven't heard of tesla truck 304 steel rusty?
