Just to check for Be U Qard Savings Account-i, interests are paid daily or once a month?

The terms and conditions don't specify the hibah crediting frequency...

It only pay at the end of month selected to include so it's like jar but withdraw not allowed. Just version of digital bank lomg term saving. You can save minimum RM 1000 for 1 month or RM500 for 2 months.

Err you are referring to the Be U Term Deposit-i right? That's like FD, the rates are also stated already: https://getbeu.com/product/Be-U-Term-Deposit-i

My question earlier refers to the QSA-i: https://getbeu.com/product/Be-U-QSA

According to QSA's terms and conditions they do pay interests, but they don't show the rates nor the frequency of crediting: https://media.getbeu.com/QSA_tnc_0c31e59ddb.pdf

user posted image

Do you know the QSA-i saving rates/crediting frequency?

If rates are low like 2.5-3% p.a. but credited daily then we can use the GX bank round-up trick to double the effective rate.

Hence my question. tongue.gif

I don't think I get any interest from Be U since I saved my money on there previously like more than RM500.

AEON can use their card without physical card for online transaction

GXBank is waiving its domestic and overseas cash withdrawal fees until 31st December 2024.

Bad news for GX users. Wait for new digital bank then 🤭

That is why don't put all egg in 1 basket... Imagine all saving in aeon then suddenly need use rm5k cash... Then how? Put some in rize lo... 3.88 vs 3.80 not much difference if amount is not too big
*
I have tips to get money if AEON Bank inaccessible but only if you have at least virtual card. Add AEON Bank card to ShopeePay (if you want small amounts)/TnG (now marked as debit card) then transfer back to other bank. I did this before when they did the 6 pm maintenance which is very bad timing.

Not working if you have no access to AEON Bank card info 🫠

Arsyad1105 if app cannot login and didn't write virtual card number down, cannot add to shopeepay/tng right? (unless using phone NFC to scan card details)
*
Yes so prefer to link siap2 on both of that e-Wallet. Useful for other bank too if there's no card maintenance happening.

I did a mistake not checking here before spending oversea transaction. Turns out AEON charge a whopping 3% fee and not 1% like what they mention in PDS. I’m going to file a dispute and see what they say. Avoid using this card for oversea transaction. Do not repeat my mistake
*
I have post the conversion in here before and it take 3% from day 1 AEON Bank launched. It never turn 0% FX or 1% or 2% like originally written on their TnC.

QUOTE(Zaryl @ Aug 3 2024, 11:52 PM)
so comparing between WISE & TnG VISA, which one is cheaper?

or is there another platform that offer much cheaper oversea transactions?
*
TnG Visa FX is 0% since day 1 till now. I always use it for online transaction paying VPS. Don't pay using other than Visa for TnG eWallet.

user posted image

This is the latest transaction I tried to pay on Fiverr. I'm using AEON just for points but since it didn't go through I use TnG and you can see the difference.

Made another oversea transaction using USD this time.

Rate 1 June

USD 1 = MYR 4.71
USD 5 = MYR 23.54

AEON Bank:
USD 5 = MYR 24.26

Rate: 3%

Still 3%. I don't know why AEON said no FX fees except from Visa but Visa just take only 1%.

What if I say their bank team has low experience on real banking? Because it's 2nd times this happened, not including their slow registration. Unscheduled long maintenance. Unlike GX Bank they're already operated on Singapore so it's not a big deal. Aeon and Boost both have no experience on banking. It can be different for ewallet because not many people use it whistling.gif

But but the Japanese parent company have banking experience...

Did bring those guys on board probably unlike GX which brings their team from Singapore initially 😔
*
Yes but i feel like AEON Bank Japan has no relation with AEON Bank Malaysia. Their logo even different from Japan. GX use same logo except without S (GXS). Malaysia has only 1 design card but Japan has selection. GX Singapore card design is same. Likely they're separate team from Japan team.

their fb page have been bombarded by angry users ... and based on some of the comments, apparently BNM is aware of the issue. let's see if they will get fined or not
*
People think AEON Bank is the first bank having longest problem. They didn't feel what Rize Bank users facing before.
