Regarding face id, since you mention no android has it here so some correction,
there was android phone had it, which is Google Pixel 4 series, similar tech as Face ID with 3D Face unlock, which they still keep the top bezel during that time due to this. Unfortunately they discontinued this for later phones.

Camera is application though, if the context here is the factory/stock camera app came with the phone, yes, there are some camera apps don't have always on flash light in "Camera/Photo" mode, but there is alternative using "Video" mode flash light, which will be always on.

If let say both are unavailable, using a third party camera app will solve this.

Nope. Could never afford iPhone. Need 6 month savings just for base model iPhone..lol cannotlah.

Always been mid range android user. Just stay away from china phone Xiaomi, Huawei, realme, etc and you will be good. China brand got built in ads, and terrible software updates. Out of box very smooth, but after one android update expect phone to become laggy and buggy and bloatware.

Now using Samsung A series exynos, all updates so far good. No built in ads, decent camera. Only complaint is some bloatware apps and no headphones jack and exynos no good for games, but otherwise can't complain for the price.

Idealy want use pixel A series for android 1, but cost 3.6x more than Samseng.

Really?!!! why did they do that.

Most of the android phone during the camera mode, we can turn ON/OFF the flash or leave to auto

As someone who supports FOSS and actually owning the stuff you bought, the only choice for me is Android.

I could freely install GrapheneOS or LineageOS on my Android phone, even if Samsung and Google would make it a living hell doing so. I can't do that on an Apple device.

I also believe in using dedicated devices for separate functions i.e. actual camera for camera, Walkman (plus DAC) for my music, and computer for gaming/programming.

I realize people would think I sacrifice convenience i.e. not having all these function in one device, but I view it the other way; I am in control of what I consume.

In this regard, Android is the much lesser evil than iDevices.

It can do on/off/auto as well, it just don't have always on in the option

on = light on WHEN the moment camera capture
always on = light keep on even camera is not capturing

for pixel phone i can understand that always on light is not so important, as they involve software processing with AI on the photo, not sure about samsung but probably same reason.

not the case for me, i use iphone then to oppo huawei samsung but will never try iphone again.

but my gf from iphone to oppo honor now back to iphone again.

those say iphone never lag is bullshit 1, my gf phone now also lagging badly already, whatsapp call in, once the screen is locked then it will take a very long time to unlock screen, not instant. and the mic issue... i donno is anc problem or how (already disabled that) when the other party talk and u talk at the same time, the iphone mic is like muted, other party cant hear what she say. google around so many ppl have this issue some even replaced their phone to solve this.

i can see open apps, setting also not that smooth already.

mayb her iphone11promax storage is full already that is why it is lagging.

Just to tell what you fruit apple cake guys been missing

On Android u can

Clone app like YouTube whatapps Facebook browser etc why u wanna do this? For example u can have two separate Maybank app for two separate account

7 yrs os security update not even apple can match this

Can have call record without jailbrake root at least on the s24u currently

Spen

Cheaper

S24u photo is really good right up there with pixel and apple but vid still not as good it's good just not as good

Can sideload app

And many more I can't think of right now

and to add on 120hz easily across all series... There is no need to get Pro or Pro Max for a higher refresh rate display. Want manual mode on your camera? Yup, just 1 tap, no need to download any 3rd party apps. Want better picture quality? Side load Gcam. Dont forget. We can have YouTube, Spotify, and Tidal Premium for free. Also, charging? basically, any fast wireless charger able to support 15w is way faster than the iPhone 7.5w (unless it's Qi2.. Oh wait till now, not many in the market and expensive).

Ngl if comparing quality, both are good. As for colors, back then note 5/8 seems to be a little fake, overprocessed. Not sure bout  current flagships.

Camera shutter speed is also one of the reason I switched back.

About 5years into my iPhone 11, the camera still works smoothly although gallery size is huge. >30k images.

And also, messages seems to be indexed as well on iPhone. Try searching back WhatsApp messages from 2015. Instantly goes back there. While android takes forever to load even just last year’s message. Maybe it’s optimized now… just speaking from my past experience.

Because you are storing the image on your internal storage, which is faster, not like an SD card, which is slower. My S23 Ultra with 24k Images, I can even drag the scroll slider "which iPhone doesn't have. LOL" and you will still see all the images with no loading time, and that includes videos, 200MP images and RAW images, which are bigger file sizes compared to a normal image.

As for SD cards, I missed those times. We can expand our phone storage without the need to fork out in advance or delete things when it's full. Also, many people will just get the cheapest option, e.g., Sandisk Ultra, which is rubbish, then complain it's Android slow... Try to get Extreme Series
