I just wonder why so many aw1000 were collected back for resale?
Do modems have a lifespan or degraded performance over time? Why isp change them in the first place?
Otherwise is good
of course have, it called EOL or End of Life, where the product stop getting support and firmware update from manufacturer Do modems have a lifespan or degraded performance over time? Why isp change them in the first place?
Otherwise is good
for example TP-Link

that where custom firmware like openwrt come and save the day, since many router are still capable just the main issue is it being abandon in favor of newest model
openwrt revive those router and give them new life, it same as custom firmware on android phone like LineageOS
