Govt to use data from depts, agencies amid low registration in Padu

The government will utilise data collected from 217 departments and agencies for government-related programmes, including targeted subsidies, to rectify the low registration rate with the Central Database Hub (Padu), says communications minister Fahmi Fadzil.

The government spokesman noted, when it was pointed out by a reporter, that as of Feb 15, the number of people who had updated their information in the Padu system was 3.43 million, equivalent to only 10% of the country’s population.

PADU is optional from start...

Cannot force everyone....  Only way just take whichever information / data available.. especially from STR database 😔

It's a gaffe by Fahmi, now less people will fill.

My STR got rejected    so now need use bicycle.

not sure if the engine cc matters... cos my car's cc is 2.0, and I still qualify for STR.

it may just be the brand only that matters... which doesn't make sense.
