The main purpose i use nvidia shield is to watch lossless downloaded movie which has Dolby True HD / DTS HD Master audio source bypass through my Yamaha receiver with 5.1.2 setup home theatre system. Usually these movies averagely size about 70gb++. Those sound source really pack a dynamic punch compares to Dolby Digital Plus sound source...all i can say is hardly cant live without it....
Seldom watch netflix or streaming source btw due to sound source...
Been using shield for 2 years and seriously it never lagged before...premium

Many still say it is not supporting AV1.. does this matter?

I think most Mitv sticks are sirim certified. But not 100% sure widewine L1 or not. It should be if it's for global market.
