Got non-haram like astro ultra box, unifi box..

But can't find anything that can be bought and used standalone

nvidia shield
chromecast with google tv
xiaomi tv

all no sirim

i think u getting the issue wrong already.

all android box is not haram.

what makes it haram is when it comes with apps that illegally provide pirated services.

u can buy any android box u like. but if seemed suspicious, just reformat it and install the apps yourself. then be a good boy and pay for each of the streaming services.

even if u buy a certified sirim box, then u buy the cheap shopee account for your netflix, become haram already. capish?

yes, accepting certain t&c / t&c update, require separate apple device
can't do it on the apple tv itself
also time to time it will tell you to bring you apple device close to the TV box to update the apple id setting

so it's not standalone device

but still, isn't android box should have sirim/mcmc anyway? it's something to do with network..

that's not good. so apple tv is out of consideration 100%

Mi box s should be enough for streaming movies.

I use Mecool KD1 and Google Chromecast CW Google TV. Both devices supports Netflix (Altho I never actually used Netflix).

only got 2 types for android

currently using xiaomi tv box s 2nd gen.. okay aje..

i'm using 2x google tv at home, and everytime i travel for staycation,
i brought the xiaomi tv box in case i want to catch-up on any shows..

- connect the xiaomi tv box to hotel wifi or phone hotspot and voila!
