If from Sarawak need to speak Iban or not?

So easy to forget Malaysia is NOT just Malaya.

Iban people speak Sea Dayak which is a Malayic-subgroup language. Its akin to a cantonese speaker learning mandarin but much easier. Nobody here is complaining when China standardize to Mandarin in 1949?

So I dont see a problem with Iban, whose language has similar root to Malay, learn Malay? Its a huge benefit for them especially when they wish to engage in politics to help lift the issues of their people in the west.

That's just an excuse for why you don't mix with other people. I had a Singaporean Chinese classmate in secondary school, he spoke fluent Malay because he didn't just mix with his own race. He had a slight lisp due to his braces but otherwise he could speak perfect Malay. Meanwhile, I have work colleagues in their 40s that still ask me if a certain term is right or struggle to find the right words in Malay when talking to me. They're struggling to converse with someone, who didn't know how to speak Malay at all (other than Raihan song lyrics) until Form 1, when they've spent their entire lives here and their families have spent generations here. There is literally no excuse. Indonesian Chinese speak fluent Indonesian with no hint of a foreign accent. Malaysian Chinese struggle to speak Malay without sounding Chinese despite living here their whole lives. Even the Indians have no issues with sounding like a local despite the fact that they speak Tamil to their own race and English when they want to feel atas. If anything, they've done more to integrate into society than anyone else but people are still racist towards them due to their skin color.

My Chinese grandmother speaks Malay perfectly fine and you wouldn't know she wasn't one if you weren't looking at her. Stop making excuses.

as mentioned by someone here, you need to wake up 5.59 and take a few phones (with installed CMS). by 6am start clicking the hell out of it.

I think this system is very good. you can get your number from home. but the disadvantage is it's prone to abuse. people will be using few phone and some will get a few tickets.
good thing is that for old folks or pregnant ladies, they will give you number there. so its really thoughtful of them.

now, protip. The number will initially go quite slow, but by 10am it number was going up quite fast. reason was that many people with 2-3 tickets would not have needed it(yeah that's the abuse). my number (84) was called at around 11.am, collected the passport by 12.20pm.

Overall this is what I think:

1. The CMS thing is very good
2. They need to somehow announce it on their website
3. It's prone to abuse. folks getting a few tickets

over all my experience has been pretty positive. The immigration folks was ok and entertained my question. In fact when it was my turn, was told they also needed my photostat IC. so had to run out to had it done and the officer waited for me. I wished though, that they would had stated it in their website though.

I saw a lady (40s) wearing short pants above knee length. I went with a round neck t-shirt, long pants. ( I took a collar t-short just in case). overall the experience has been quite ok (70%). when you go to public hospital, gov department you need to kinda set your expectation right.

can they improves, most certainly in many ways. was it as bad as what some people said, not for me.
