I will never cancel my order whenever the driver asks me to cancel. If they are too lazy to drive down let them cancel themselves. They can just cancel on their end but they are to scared that their rating might drop

My first time taking grab was when I just about to arrive my dad's place via lrt. But when I reached my station, my phone went flat. Straign Grab banned me permanently.

Tumpang topic abit. Last weekend i called for Grab Car. The Grab Car accept already then stay at his location for more than 10-15mins without moving. I text him no reply, call him no answer. In the end i cannot wait anymore so i cancel and try to re-book. Once i re-book the same driver terus instantly accept my booking, then same not moving, not answering call and msg.

What are they trying to do actually? Why accept but then dont want to come?

You're forced to cancel.
Grab drivers who don't move 5-10 minutes after accepting our request do that to make us cancel the request.
They don't want to cancel because they'll be given penalty.
Same thing happened to me just now.
All my bookings were from grab drivers who were far from my location. They didn't want to pick me up so they asked me to cancel.

Yes, thats why I helped them to cancel.
Turned out grab banned me after cancelling 4 times.

I think it’s an automatic thing that detects potential fraud bookings. They do it for their drivers too I think where excessive cancellations from their side also invites some sort of ban.

Grab needs to improve their system me thinks.
Poor drivers who are far away from passenger location but still need to pick up the passengers.

They can see the destination but it’s automatically assigned to them meaning they can’t choose what to accept.

From what I understand talking to one of my fren who drives the premium version, this is also some sort of fraud prevention because last time some drivers used to “cheat” grab when they were giving out quite a sum of incentives by fake booking themselves (passenger getting nearest driver used to be the norm). But somehow this doesn’t apply now coz no incentives are given to drivers. And they’ve never changed it unless of coz there’s no other driver around within the circle vicinity of say 4-5km.

Imagine 4-5km away meaning you could be at Sogo KL & the driver is coming from Pavilion KL

when banned can you use other parts of the app like grab food and others

or entire app has banned you?.... if they banned you and you got monei there and if permanent sus'ed... monei in the wallet gone lor... can't access
