Grab BANNED me for 24 hours because I cancelled, 4 times

I think it’s an automatic thing that detects potential fraud bookings. They do it for their drivers too I think where excessive cancellations from their side also invites some sort of ban. |

From what I understand talking to one of my fren who drives the premium version, this is also some sort of fraud prevention because last time some drivers used to “cheat” grab when they were giving out quite a sum of incentives by fake booking themselves (passenger getting nearest driver used to be the norm). But somehow this doesn’t apply now coz no incentives are given to drivers. And they’ve never changed it unless of coz there’s no other driver around within the circle vicinity of say 4-5km. Imagine 4-5km away meaning you could be at Sogo KL & the driver is coming from Pavilion KL |
