The worst part is i asked maxis multiple times why do i need to pay, they said tm dont cover non tm user fibre cable because they dont want to be responsible for it?

and so many other maxis users i know also have paid for this wire, but this time i'll let maxis know i wont be paying
*
Let them know you will bring this case to MCMC if they insist you pay.

Have a feeling my building management don't give a fuck right now and we likely won't get fiber infrastructure. Thinking if I should move to Unifi Air instead. 1 whole month without internet, insane.
*
If your area has very good 5g coverage, invest in a good 5g modem and subscribe plan like U Home 68.

no home internet plan can beat fibre.

mobile broadband even 5G is not possible to replace fibre in terms of latency...
and 5G depends on too many factors, including the no of users around ur area which can cause congestion.
*
No doubt, but if you are stuck like what ChocChristy experiencing whereby no internet for whole month and management don't give a sh*t, what choice do you have aside from using 5g.

No idea cause during the time i helped my parents to jump ship the line to Celcomfibre, Unifi doesn't even mention anything of returning from their side when i physically visit the centre for the confirmation of port out.

I then later live chat asked them those devices - Unifi TV, Router, Modem how? They say can continue use if want.... ok...  whistling.gif Throw, lol ...
*
For jump ship AKA switching there is no need to return BTU because they will usually use the same BTU and only switch to lan 2 or 3. However if the installer change your BTU during switching, usually they will collect back the old BTU although some did not.

Do you have PLOAM password/PPPoE credentials/VoIP credentials on hand? If not, please obtain from TM or else you won’t have access to internet even after reset, I don’t believe TR-069 will be able to set these settings except for maybe PLOAM password

PLOAM is set in GPON mode in ONT tab (iirc), it’s not in my screenshot as my DPN-FX3060V is just doing ATA.

PPPoE in Connection_0 and VoIP to enable VoIP
*
Usually TM won't give out ploam password. You either get it from technician during installation or try to find it in the device.

Anyone got charge with this installation charge of RM200? bloody hell betul TM. I previously got issue with netflix that suddenly got subscribed to my unifi account since October last year. I lodged report to cancel that subscription and dont know how tiba2 got open order to modify my package on 15 December 2023. that order completed end of last month and charged me with this RM200. there is nothing different on my package at all and that netflix got cancelled by my own effort by requesting it directly to netflix.

I've asked through live chat on what is this charge is all about and she just reply standard wording that she will open report and escalate this to 2nd level bla bla bla. but the thing is, she also not sure what is the detail of this charges.

since last year, I fight with them to reverse back that netflix charges since it is subscribed without my knowledge with no confirmation received through my phone number and email but now they even charged me some more out of nowhere.  bangwall.gif
*
Should be free unless you ask for non standard installation. But how come there is rm200 installation charge long after you install Unifi? I think you better open MCMC report on this.

Probably will complain to MCMC. they dare to charge me RM200 out of nowhere and now I need to wait 15 days for their investigation. They took almost 2 month to fix the netflix issue even after numerous follow up. So damn teruk la.
Its me and I think it is probably subscribed through UPB accidentally. But my complain is more on why there is no confirmation received when it is accidentally being subscribed. And the email used for it is non-existent one. I can't even recover the email from unifi entertainment ala-carte page. it has been solved now but the credit adjustment still havent been made by them.
*
High time you open a report with MCMC. Want to wait and drag some more?

already got SWU 4.0? If me on 300Mbps + Unifi Tv Ultimate paying RM189.75 monthly, what saving could i get by applying SWU 4.0? currently looking down on shaving some expenses on internet since under utilizing the speed and seldom watching UnifiTV.. I was actually planning to terminate Unifi and go for Maxis or CelcomDigi offer since they were much more cheaper deal..

If i understand correctly for my packages, even if I terminate my UnifiTV package, the bill wont go any lower right since it is bundled together?

Hi. I recently told a TM Unifi agent/reseller that I want 300Mbps installed at my house (never subscribed to unifi/streamyx before). No appointment yet, they just asked me to fill in my details on whatsapp. BUT here's the thing, I just noticed there's a tiang Time fibre literally right behind my house (landed property) and realised that my house is under Time coverage too. Is it okay to tell them to cancel my unifi installation? Do I need to pay anything? Thanks.
*

Yes it's ok. Nothing to pay but you better do it fast before they arrange installation of your Unifi.

OK. Contract jst end. SWU 1.0, 300mb for 129 upgraded to 500mb. Any option? SWU? Maxis? Digicelcom? Thanks.
*
500mbps rm129 is consider good deal, since original price is rm159. Those who switch to SWU 3.0 last year got 300mbps upgrade to 500mbps rm119.

i'm currently in 500mbps with 129. my Service Start Date: 19 May 2022, i plan to change to 100mbps at RM89.00 after 3 months.
since 100mbps is enough for me
*
Try request SWU 4.0 plan, 100mbps for RM79.

How long does it takes to have a new internet port on a new property?
*
Hard to say, TM always look at demand before they decide to install their infra in that new area.

The nationwide broadband network currently runs in all homes, with more than 85 per cent on at least 1Gbps services.

Difference between advanced and non-advanced countries.

Indeed. This not gonna happen in Malaysia even after the next MSAP revision.

QUOTE(neekun @ Feb 22 2024, 03:00 PM)
I've been asking to remove this since ages, TM just won't do it!

They will do it if you change to SWU plan.

QUOTE(eugenecctan @ Feb 22 2024, 04:16 PM)
But anyone with 129 for 500mb try to ask for contract renewal? Cannot be renew 2 years for more expensive price right. 😅
*
Nobody in their sane mind will renew for more expensive price. Just quietly use until the next cheaper pricing plan or downgrade to cheaper plan.

Hi guys, need some advise, just relocated my unifi-100mbps plan to my new house (DST). TM offering RM79@100mbps under SWU 4.0 since I said might want to change to different provider. Firstly is 100mbps speed sufficient for DST ? Only two person using..Will need to add netflix as well. Is there any better deal out for internet & netflix ?
*
Imo 100mbps sufficient for 2 person, can even stream netflix concurrently without any problem. If you still doubt, ask for 300mbps under SWU4.0 which will cost RM119.

Does anyone knows how Credit Adjustments work in TM Bills?
For example, I lodged a claim on behalf my father in law for downtime and was given a sum of credit adjustments as they informed me, it shall reflect on the next billing cycle. We also intended to terminate the account thereafter.
If the adjustments is becomes overpaid say a few RM hundreds, meaning to say the bill is in overpaid mode, will then if we terminate the account, they will return back the overpaid by cheque / ewallet / how?
*
Yes they will return. Previously is by cheque to your registered address, but you have to check with them if the same mechanism still applies.

QUOTE(borgyang @ Mar 8 2024, 09:38 PM)
My contract also just ended.

Which TMpoint did you go to convert to SWU? How about those TM Authorised Dealer/ Reseller Outlets? Or this can only be done at TMpoint?

May I know how to request for SWU? Can I just approach the staff and tell them that I want to convert SWU? Or need to act like I'm interested in other ISP cheaper plan then only they will counter-offer the SWU?
*
Go to Tmpoint, authorise deeler cannot. Just tell them you want to change to SWU 4.0 plan, you can search this topic to find pricing for each plan.
