Seller said android 11


Anyone used this before ? 4gb+64GB and android 13 and has carplay. And quite cheap also. Or should I save some money and get android 11 with 2gb+32gb instead?

My use is waze and apple music/spotify only and need the reverse camera

212 vs 284 so price is not much different.

I recommend ram 4gb. 2gb after sometimes would make it slow.

Most important is min 8 core processor, you will only enjoy using it. Else don't bother to change...speaking of someone bought a 4 core processor andriod unit.

sound like your budget is too low.
you will not get a decent spec android player with that kind of budget. personally i spend rm300 for a single-din media receiver which i get a good mp3 player, decent speaker amp but with bluetooth receiver that are lacking in audio quality.

personally i will get something with LDAC support if audio quality is a concern.

The main issue with cheapo headunits are no DAC + weak/cheap Amp Chip

yeah, most online shops only stated the RAM and ROM, the important spec which is the CPU hardly mention, at lease ARM cortex-A53.
Until now i Hold the purchase, keep surveying.

using 8 core 2+32 with 360 camera since 2021, no problem @ lag so far... reset once during 360 installation last year

hi bro, i would suggest to purchase dynavin brand android player. go for DP8 model or above with minimum of 3gb ram. Dynavin is solid and does not lag. but the price is also not cheap.

I have tried few cheap android player earlier and end of the day just left with regrets.

Please only buy 6gb RAM and above.

2gb or 4gb RAM is unusable.

What were the problems you’ve encountered that caused you to regret your purchase? It would be helpful to mention them so I can stretch my budget and buy an expensive one instead.

You are lucky if they are really Android 11, not to mention Android 13.

The device info on all those HU are spoofed.

On my Android HU that was claimed to have Android 11 can't even install the Google Map that is Android 11 friendly version. Can only install previous version. Many features not available.

So take their claims with buckets of salt.

Look for TS10 processors.

I’ll be primarily be using apple car play so will it still need to install google maps on the device?

If you use Carplay / Android Auto, sound quality will be greatly affected 'cos it doesn't go through the DSP of the head unit. Sounds like crap.

Calls are not picked up through Carplay, but through HU's own bluetooth connection to the handset.

Crappy and confusing cos they are not implementing real carplay.

Suggest you go for proper product like Kenwood, might not have big 9" 10" screen but it's proper car play integration. Careful about one fake Kenwood android HU in shitpee / lapsapda going for 400 around there.

Bought last time 7xx. Nowadays 900 can get 4/64 already. The dsp is quite good.

Careful, those who no state clearly the cpu and gpu model usually are scams.

Like this 4/64 or 32 actually is 1gb ram only, many ppl kena scam already. It will show 4gb in cpu-z but any other apps all show is 1gb only the ram, once buka Google maps straight died

I'm also surveying for android player for a while, waiting for 11.11 offer. What I learn so far from fb group Car android player community everyone is talking about TS10 & 7862 chipset being the best for android player, price wise around rm600, you could easily find it on shopee.

but based on your usage, if you want something cheaper you could consider eonon 7" player around rm500 but running on linux, you cant install apps but it does have apple carplay and android auto solve your apps and comments been saying it does a good job even though cant really find their specs and doesnt lag.

i install myself, its easy

I installed it at workshop. It was rm50 for android player and rm80 for reverse camera

Just change to a new android player on Saturday. The player come with TS10 chipset, 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM, Cooling fan, IPS QLED screen and 4G SIM slot, never use CPU-Z to check the spec but seller told me its 8 core CPU. Have to say it is very smooth and radio reception is very clear, car speaker sound nicer alot compare to my previous Android player. Install it myself since previously i got android player installed and everything just plug and play.

yup, i bought from this seller. Everything is working perfectly fine and smooth, just the reverse camera looks blurry because i didnt change to HD reverse camera.

Only physical sim, no esim, i havent try the simcard connection cause the habit of sharing mobile hotspot to android player. GPS signal so far no problem after using waze for direction to multiple location.

Just connect bluetooth for the first time and enable auto connect when turn on engine. So not using cable, it wireless

Actually, do these Android HDUs have auto-rotate so that they can be mounted vertically? Just like our phones have setting for screen to auto-rotate when we turn 90degs.... Simple thing like this but can only get expensive Tesla-priced vertical HDU

i dun understand hindi & dun have english sub... but I suppose these Android HDU are no diff than our phones & tablets - can change the display orientation.... which means that we can instal the HDU vertically and then change the display orientation until we get it right

audio quality is ok. gotta upgrade your speaker as well to a better set.
radio reception is on par with the stock radio.

Just wondering, how come nobody talks about those name brands like Kenwood Pioneer Sony etc?

I'm also in the market for android auto/apple car play compatible unit. I just need to stream Spotify (best quality possible). I prefer using navi apps on my phone so that my music is not disturbed.

If possible to get multiple sensors and cameras to help with parking, would be great. If not rear only also ok.

Im willing to spend up to 2k but lesser also better. Upgrading my gen 1 myvi radio. Browse at brothers usj1 today, they recommend apexi, about 2.2k but dunno how is the spec, didnt see any model num.

I got quote from an accessories shop, 8gb ram + android 10 + 7862 processor is much cheaper than 6gb ram + android 13 + 7870 processor, so I am waging if worth to go with the android 13 player

Mohawk Eco series.. 6gb/128gb rom variant with 4g would that be recommended? I just needed one which has 4g and won't be lagging actually.

Late reply but I have Mohawk android player in my car so I listed out pros and cons of owning one.

Pros:
1.Boot time seem fast. Start the car, player straight turn on to home screen.
2. 1 year official MY warranty.
3. Lots of accessories car shop carries this brand.
4. Can integrate with car's original reverse camera.
5. Steering mode, reverse sensor all is working.

Cons:
1. Quite expensive given for its spec. Most of this brand player using old 2018 RK3266 CPU. RAM also might be DDR3.
2. Quite lagging if multitask. Example waze + youtube at the same time.
3. UI and app icon is old school. Like 90s time.

Thanks for the feedback bro I ended up buying stinger half the price and it was pretty good.. when new car arrives will change as well

i tried 2 different external dacs for testing purposes. after figuring out the right setup/configuration/app, i decided to buy a sound processor which as and external dac function to completely bypass android audio stack.

massive gains compared to the generic dac inside android player
