Seems like not many get the upgrade yet. And for those asking if need to pay extra, no need. It's called FREE upgrade yo.

I had my upgrade last weekend, from 300 to 500mbps. However after the upgrade, i couldnt even get back my previous max speed using 5ghz, nothing has been changed in the setting. At last, i changed the width in 5ghz to 20/40/80 (was 20/40)only i could get 450 and above but not everytime (better than when 20/40, i can only get max of 330+ using 5ghz), i also fixed the wifi channel for 5ghz now. Still monitoring the performance.
But am still concern what is the root cause that i cannot get the previous max speed after the upgrade since nth has changed in the setting? |

Still monitoring the performance. Same as you unifi upgraded from 300 Mbps to 500 Mbps. Using Tplink A6 router can get ~290 Mbps wireless speedtest. Now only get ~250 Mbps after upgraded, router follow same setting. But am still concern what is the root cause that i cannot get the previous max speed after the upgrade since nth has changed in the setting? May purchased Tplink router ax53 or downgrade to 100 Mbps, no headache. |

Original Speed: 30 Mbps Add-ons: (none) Date upgraded: 12 Oct 23 New Speed: 100 Mbps Pasir Mas, Kelantan area. Maybe TM fliped the switch between 2pm - 5pm, I rebooted the modem/router on instinct. "Upgrade completed" SMS received at 7:41PM. This post has been edited by luqman98x: Oct 12 2023, 09:29 PM Attached thumbnail(s) sg8989 liked this post

Currently TM Unifi is migrating the line for 30mpbs and 300 mbps.
I guess, maybe they start from minor users. The second stage, apprx starting from November, for 100 & 500mbps user. The third stage, apprx starting from December, for 100mbps user. The last stage, apprx starting from 2024 January, for 800mbps and 1gbps user. 1 gbps user may get a fee discount while 2gbps got nothing to get. The rahmah plan for 30mbps, unfortunately, also nothing to get. |

QUOTE(Syfq @ Oct 14 2023, 08:10 PM) For speeds within 100mbps (wired/wireless) you don't need to change your modem or router. This is within the Fast Ethernet protocol.Only when you exceed 100mbps you'll need a gigabit compatible router and modem. I had to do this in 2018 during the Turbo Upgrade. Went from 50 --> 500mbps. |
