Went for a test drive in Melaka and made a booking for silver standard... Good value as first ev and especially for my use which is 95% melaka town.. My Ativa monthly petrol bill around RM250 for 1.6-1.8k km... Estimate home charging around 300kwh which should cost RM150....RM 100 saving which should increase another RM150 when they remove the subsidy... Not much.. But it drives so much better than the Ativa... Always wanted rwd... Nice that Malaysian model comes with rear wiper and grab handles so the Mrs is happy.... Bummer that side mirrors can't fold... Kumho tyres... The other 18" get continental.. Need decent tinting since inside all black.... Other models at least get privacy glass... But overall great value... Saw first unit delivered to customer yesterday... Silver lux..

QUOTE(judesh @ Apr 10 2024, 07:22 AM) . My Ativa monthly petrol bill around RM250 for 1.6-1.8k km... That's interesting. I would expect RM250 to register 400km-600km in city driving conditions. To be able to get an additional 1000km is really something.Anyway congratulations on the new MG4. It does look like the best value EV with regard to looks and performance. The exterior of the mg4 looks better than other EVs in the same segment such as Byd Atto/Dolphin. |

QUOTE(hjack @ Apr 10 2024, 09:26 AM) At the moment the Chinese automakers are over the moon and enjoying the honeymoon over the ever pragmatic Japanese https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/internatio...brands-thailand Don't know about Toyota (their boss is very opposite of how a typical high ranking Japanese Top Executive is in the eye of the public : Reserved and ever humble, he is vocal and loud like Elon Musk but at times made some remarkably offensive and abusive well remarks which he should only made it in front of his own executives) , but let's hope Honda will come back with some worthy fight, they already have the car, it is about if they really want to fight or not, how fast to hit the road running, how much they are asking, etc. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/economy/40033864 Even Nissan who brings us Nissan Leaf, the first mass EV to the world now partner with Honda, so that said a lot about Honda doing things right and better. |
