But both of them don't have valid setem cukai. I use app Setem Cukai by JKDM to scan the QR.
Shopee don't accept invalid setem cukai as reason to return for refund and sided with seller.

Be careful of Shopee Mall eLuenHeng, Invalid Setem Cukai

QUOTE(ClericKilla @ Sep 18 2023, 01:04 PM) Do you scan every alcohol you buy? Rajin. Setem Cukai is one of the most important tool to verify an authentic whisky.I can tell you the system may have problem. This root problem doesn't come from LH but the system from logistics and customs itself. You still never list down your reason for rejecting other than stem cukai cannot be found. You really think our market have no counterfeit whisky? And you think our government has nothing better to do so to offer QR code for verification? Kindly answer two questions above. |

QUOTE(netmatrix @ Sep 18 2023, 01:17 PM) I feel TS is using the scan to verify its original or not. Because i feel like if that company did not have valid tax sticker, then very likely its pirated. And he overpaid for pirated products. All I want is return for refund, hoped to solve the issue on Shopee platform. But I got rejected so I have no choice but to report to JKDM and warn whisky lovers about this incident. On the other side, probably the company pirated the sticker and not the liquor as to not paying the taxes. If TS has solid confirmation that the liquor is genuine and the problem is only about the customs sticker, i do not think he would post this at all. |

QUOTE(ClericKilla @ Sep 18 2023, 01:17 PM) I'm not being naive, but if I buy counterfeit whisky I can still buy tax stamp from government. It doesn't solve your problem 😂 You are contradicting yourself. If you want to know how these products can protect themselves from counterfeiting would be to have special codes or QR that leads into their website and etc. (seen in champagne or burgundy wines) Customs stickers and shady business practices doesn't guarantee 100% authenticity. You don't trust QR from government but you trust QR from private company. So you think private company QR can't be tempered? Private company QR can't be moved from bottle to bottle? Anyway, basically you are saying valid QR is the best way to do verification. Now the QR on my Omar whisky are not valid and you think that is not important. |

QUOTE(ClericKilla @ Sep 18 2023, 11:02 PM) I don't trust QR from government because I know how the system works. Don't simply slam good policy by government. I can assure you without setem cukai QR, all liquor lovers of Malaysia will have 100% chance to drink 20 bottles of fake liquor in their lives. Why would beverage company like Moet, or whatever high end brand ... want to scam you with a fake QR? They are here to build brand not to destroy brand with illegitimate products. Go and learn how champagne, burgundy or how fine whisky protect their own brands with proper QR or security check. The reason you don't know because you buy cheap whisky and kao peh kao boh here. I didn't say it's not important. The government sells tax stamp according to the imports. The government generate tax stamp via third party (only company given license to print). The customs pass the tax stamp to importers to stick before it goes out from port or airport. Here is how importers can mess up their tax stamp. When generated they don't follow accordingly to the product when they stamp. It requires manual human labour to stamp over millions of bottles each year so there will be prone to wrong stamping. It's not the customs who stamped the sticker. Enough talking la. You not happy you go to LH for refund. The owner is there at old PJ shop always wear short pants. LH refuse to refund on Shopee platform lah. You really think people are so free to go PJ shop. |

QUOTE(karazure @ Sep 19 2023, 10:20 AM) eLuenHeng don't care as this issue was raised on Shopee platform. And Shopee agent sided with eLuenHeng.I don't want to post the QR here because there are trolls who will say whatever they want, even lie and say the QR is fine, they can scan, it is my app Setem Cukai not updated, etc. |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Sep 19 2023, 10:51 AM) is this fake item? Why even the label Barcode seem to be different? For product like this usually their barcode have to register and follow international standard also it wont have 2 different barcode for the same product. They are different product, one is sherry cask, one is bourbon cask. |
