gxbank is smart cos 1% to get even RM 50 u need to spend RM 5000 and thats a lot..

they might not close shop anytime, but knowing these invisible entity ( think grab ) they can do anything with ur account and nothing much u can do since u cant even talk to their staff face to face. so yes, just use em with precaution, just top up the money into their acc whenever u need to use em.

I kana before with paypal, acc kana suspend then need to do ekyc and all after 2 months baru money released. been using it for several years then suddenly kana flagged for no reason

unless if one day gomen force everyone to change their money to digital ringgit like eYuan, well ....

I'm also gx user but I haven't get the option to get the card

For now I'm also using bigpay, man their app kept getting horrible.. I'm just waiting for GX card, will make a shift too.

It's still different with bigypay though

In bigpay, you get 1 physical card.. and 1 virtual card, that virtual card can be changed once a month.

For GX, they issue one virtual card, and if we want physical card, it's the same with virtual card

So bigpay still have it's own advantage..

Having a different physical and virtual card has its merits. Virtual card only be only used for online and not otc purchase. For added security, it can be freezed when not in use. Physical card, use only for otc purchase and atm. It will be great if gxb has such feature

card networks like visa or mastercard want to make *more* money by doing this Digital-First card issuance

instead of the traditional physical card long leadtime to deliver, issuer can issue a virtual card forst (identical PAN/expiry/CVV) so that you can begin spending immediately.

the faster you get your PAN, then faster you spend, and faster they get revenue from your transactions....


of course, this comes with another issue, just like your case, fraud could happen earlier too. but card network has Chargeback policy to "protect" consumers, but takes time and unpleasant to cardholders where large $$ frauded/deducted already.


just be more prudent to check your apps/accounts from time to time

Received the debit card today. Citylink. They just dropped it into my mailbox sometime in the afternoon.

Deposits are PIDM insured of up to RM250k. The accounts are protected via insurance the same as many of the mainstream banks as well. So if you want to minimise risk but maximise returns, then RM250k for liquid funds there to enjoy 3% which has a daily interest paid out.

that is one big advantage, I must say

I dislike the idea of giving the main dc number to every service that I used, for this matter Bigpay has advantage
