I apply ETA app , me, my wife and my kindergarten kid.
Is it normal, me and my wife granted the ETA, but my kid was asked to register immi account, and looks like need to fill up quite many things.
*
This is puzzling. If anyone were to jump aeroplane, it surely won't be a kindergarten-age going kid!

seems like in this thread there are people getting their ETA approved in matter of days. talking to my friends they said they kena approval delay about 1-3 months from application date.

recently i have a company event next month and ill need to apply ETA. really damn mafan, i applied ETA ed now they asked for ImmiAccount + other documents

why cant we have the ImmiAccount done in first place?  sweat.gif
*
I guess there's a substantial number of people who get their ETA approved straight away, so no need for the hassle?

so it was supposed to be a two step process? where only if ETA applicants hit a certain "criteria" only need to opt for ImmiAccount and docs?

or is this for first time applicants? where recurring ex-ETA approved can easily just "renew"?
*
I'm not entirely certain, to be honest, because wife and I are Australian PRs and we dont need an ETA to return to Australia.

But, when I applied for a visitor visa (not an ETA) for our helper, I had to help her create an ImmiAccount as that was her first time, so you might be correct on the latter.

and they only informed us last week that we going Aussie for company event  rclxub.gif

Your company is also one kind one ... sigh. If ETA is not successful, you could always apply for a visitor visa (AUD190) which my maid received approval after 48H. Good luck bro!

Hi,

I recently got invited to a company event to Australia by end of August. (Company will cover all our expenses in Australia, my wife was invited too)

My wife and I applied for the ETA via mobile app and have received email stating our ETA could not be finalized at the moment and we were requested to submit additional documents via Immi account.

I have no problem submitting documents and financial proof but my wife is not working for many years already, so what kind of document can I prepare for her that shows I will be her sponsor?

Both of us are Malaysian citizen and is holding Singapore PR for years if that matters..

Thanks everyone.
*
Singapore PR status sadly doesn't confer any additional benefit upon the applicant. It's the primary passport that matters. I guess the important thing is to show that you and your wife are legally married, so she won't be at risk of jumping aeroplane ... a marriage certificate might be helpful, if you're good with your financial proofs.

Good luck bro

From the anecdotes shared by many here, it seems that Australia immigration may have relaxed the ETA applications by Malaysians. Happy days.

I’m think the $190 visa application will be approved. That’s my experience with my helper from Philippines when I helped her to apply for an Aussie visa to accompany us home.

Good luck with the applications bro.

This ETA is really a joke. Might as well stop the charade and make Malaysians apply for a full on visa.

We only have our fruit picking illegal overstaying countrymen to blame for this.

If the statistics hold up, a quarter of applicants will still be thankful they get their visa quickly with just AUD20.so please don't give them ideas....

On a slightly related note, my RRV renewal was approved within 3 days - just got it in the mail today, after we submitted the paperwork just before the weekend. Happy days.
