If I'm not mistaken, only the China market gets the T logo on the front bonnet. There is no T logo for the rest of the world.

I love the no T logo for the rest of the world... make it look clean and sleek.

Any Tesla owners can share your experience…

If I want to pay high % amount for downpayment. Like 50-75% of the car total price.

What mode of payment you use ya? Bring all cash is totally dangerous. Credit card? Bankers cheque? TT??
*
I transferred to the bank account which my DA provided (it is unique to each reservation number).

If you are interested to look at PPF, I'd suggest you hold off on those accessories first.

Dot Garage PPF packages come with some of these accessory items bundled in.
*
Poison incoming... mine is done at Dot Garage too for the colored ppf.

During Tesla Takeover Asia there will be several cars done by Dot Garage attending, can go take a look at the workmanship.

most likely not going for PPF.. no bonus this year  cry.gif
if the car is too hot due to the sunroof, might consider the p10x one, or just sunshade  sweat.gif
planned to get 3M but outside
initially i wanted to, but i was told that they dont use the high end Crystalline series for all, so im still looking around..
*
if I recalled, only for the 90% VLT using crystalline (windscreen and the 2 front windows), the rest is the cheaper ceramic.

Does anyone find their wireless charger not working as it should? Mine just charged for like 2 secs max. Both the driver side and passenger side. Using IP14 pro max and IP15 pro max. The problem persist even with the casing off.
*
Mine works fine on 16 Pro Max, 14 and 13 Pro Max. Try without a case to see if it works? Maybe it is just at the borderline limit.

Remove case and any covers you have on the charging pad.

Else, set up a service request and send to Cyberjaya.

Can try Dot Garage at Glenmarie. Excellent service.  thumbup.gif
*
I know if you're doing full car PPF, they can accompany you during delivery to do detailed checking and tow it to their shop at Glenmarie.

For those not so detailed ones, this is a great service I reckon! They are very detailed... any defects before collection can trigger and thus Tesla will need to record it down. More than 24 hours very hard to claim anything already.

i was told by the authorized installer that though a 6mm cable is suffice to produce 11kW charge rate but he's recommending to install 10mm for future-proofing.... what do u guys think? is it a bit overkill to install a more expensive cable since current Tesla only support an 11kW charge rate
*
Go for 10mm2, in future if you get another car that does 22kW then it will be good.

Apparently since last Friday, if you buy inventory stock Model 3 LR, you can get free colour upgrade. Potential saving up to rm11k. Needs SA to modify backend. I wonder when will the new model Y has such discount, provided if they are in inventory first...

For those who bought Tesla car with cash, can I check if you need to pay for the HP ownership claim fee? I thought this is for those with hire purchase only? Also additional registration fee plus inspection fee, I feel Tesla should have put these expenses on the website when you order like other brand car pricelist. I thought the rm500 Delivery and Admin fee already covered all, plus the booking fee of rm1k.

As long the cars are moving fast, no promotion. Expect about October-ish for the bank loan etc to come back.

Hi, I'll be joining the M3 family soon and have a few questions to ask here:

1) Can I just use a portable charger, probably charging around 1.8-2 kWh using a home socket? I drive less than 500 km per month.

1.1) If yes to the first question, can you suggest which portable charger you guys are using? Thanks!

2) Which tinted brand is recommended? Do I have to tint the sunroof, or can I just buy shades for it?

sorry if question repeated, still reading all 74 pages discussion now.
*
1. If the internal cable is 2.5mm2, it is gonna to put a lot of stress on it for the long term. Why don't just install the wall connector?

2. Tesla Universal Mobile Connector

3. I tint the sunroof, for tint just use your trusted brand... important is proper installer who has experience with Tesla to avoid damaging some sensitive electricals in the pillars. One case I knew was the radio antenna fried at the C pillar, rm2k+ to replace.

Is it normal to get the VIN 1-2 months before collecting the car?

My friend say VIN only give to the buyer when the car is in Malaysia. If get VIN and didn't get the car maybe there is some problem with the car they are fixing it or handling it?

Is it true? or for Tesla its diff case?
*
VIN usually gets assigned when the car is already on the boat to Malaysia. Possible also being assigned while car already in Msia as the original owner assigned delay/canceled the order and the VIN will be assigned to the next in queue.

Do you all tint Model 3 sunroof?
*
Tint mine, and eventually added an outer PPF that rejects more heat (this one works a lot better than the internal tint).

Internal tint the heat will build up on the glass anyways, and heat will radiate down.

Sorry if this has been asked before - has anyone tried to do tire rotation at Tesla service center before? I tried to request service from within Tesla app and gotten a cost estimate of RM362 for just tire rotation, which I felt is very much on the high side. I know this can be done outside, just that with the experience with many tire shops out there, many are not really experienced with dealing with EVs or Tesla, specifically. I would want to avoid damaging either the bottom of the car while jacking up (if didn’t do properly) or scratch/damage the wheel cover or rim…

Recommendations of any good and experienced tire shop that you’ve experienced are welcome… KL area.

Thank you 🙏🏻
*
Should be about RM140 inclusive tax for rotation and balancing. Alignment will cost you a big bomb at Tesla.
