Quartz is a reasonable choice. I don't like SS due to its tendency to scratch and discolor.

For built in and if you have the budget, want to try something different and don't mind how cold it can get, take a look at aluminum. Check out alustil. I went to my friends place and it does look good. Pricy thoughThis post has been edited by 9m2w : Jul 20 2023, 09:13 AM

if u plan to use for long term
table top - quartz (if u use marble sometime stains [like berak curry] once left over for long time ..it will makan masuk then u farked)
then cabinet if you got budget then go for solid wood
if u want to cheap out then can go for Alu 1 ..actually quite ok also
eg
i got friend did that because want more budget friendly ..suprisingly quality is ok and wont have obvious steel sound

Quartz is one of the more resistant to stain as compare to marble. And it is more into budget friendly compare to natural stones I cook a lot and know a lot about stain. Even quartz can't tahan Malaysian food stain. Like Kunyit, Cili oil, coffee. But quartz can be wipe away easily even it is stained Marble or granite, good luck. They are very delicate need heavy maintanance. Like here ppl say, go for aluminium frame, and bare minimal plywood. My house currently use MDF , regret to the max. Should have gonfor alu or plywoodThis post has been edited by munak991 : Jul 20 2023, 09:22 AM
