If many people start doing it surely got problem. 1 wall charger 11kW. If condo got 1000 unit and 0.5% (50 people) install then thats 550kW added capacity already, almost 1MW. Electrical system in the whole condo needs to be revised...

Hence I don't recommend people buy EV if their intention is to install wall charger at their condo private parking.

Even new condo (i.e. the Minh) also only have common area EV charging which is like 6 spaces only for the entire condo. And thats is designed and built from the ground up....Old condo retrofit with owner's own wall box surely will have regulation issues or even worse - safety.

But if your condo don't have EV isolator 1 then don't put shit on your body lor

just buy 1 landed house to charge ur tesla ,opposite then can stay ur own condo

This is very difficult to design for condo as EV charging increases electrical load exponentially. Generally most people will charge their EV at night (especially weekends). So the load will be all at once...if the condo has 1000 car park each with their own isol, then the design should accomodate for 500 people charging at the same time (5.5MW). Thats huge cost to developer...

Modern cars should be full of diagnostics electronics on board. If got problem it won’t suddenly switch off. Will have lots of warnings coming out way before that

Pay 1-off installation fee. Maintenance fee comes with logic that there’s constant cleaning/maintenance being done to the facility
