I am quite impressed with 5G speed. So far i got YES 5G Power 35 used at at my office although didn’t have 5G coverage yet. 100GB data quota, hotspot quota takes from main data quota.

Then i have unifi 5G postpaid 65 used in my ipad pro M1 12.9 5G. 60GB data quota + hotspot quota 10GB only though.
If use hotspot with my laptop, that 10GB is definitely not enough for work 

I’m more of a future proof guy. Don’t mind spending some money to use for years to come.

Ya, my 5g bar is always full, but my speed is around 80-100mbps only.
Just now seller replied to me, saying speed is not under their control, and the antenna is helpful only if my 5g coverage is not strong. So no need to buy it.

Internet still can be used, but not syiok. I see others can go to 200-500mbps.

Yeacomm is using cheaper Mediatek T750 5G modem instead of Snapdragon X55?

Also costs double the price?

Haih mafanlo. Sleek sexy unit. But yes, it’s very very crap. I have to place it upstairs because downstairs can’t get 5G. I bought the X50 mesh unit. Waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully it works. I want to retire the ASUS AC86U. But honestly the ASUS is a beast.

Upload is slow. Not important for me. Check? I compare to the speed I can get on my iPhone on the same network. If your phone get 200 down and 15 up… don’t la expect the modem router can exceed that speed by much.

X50-5G unit is small and sleek. Looks like a nice ornament and not the usual router with antennas.

Thank you! Yes both have coverage in my area cos it's very near to central KL area. It also has full 5G in my hometown of Johor, I know cos I am a UM user for their postpaid line and the speed is DAMN good on my phone, like 350-450 mbps.

YES package i read the max speed of the device is capped at 120 Mbps and also it throttles the speed of other telcos' SIM cards.

Also it seems it's a pretty crappy cheap china model whose price has been marked up significantly so I would prefer to be able to find a 5g router that will work nicely with any SIM.

Hi, currently staying in Rivercity Condo in Sentul area.

My rental does not provide Wifi so I plan to take this U Home 5G but still skeptical about it because i dont have a 5G router that can use SIM card.

1. Is U Home 5G good in Sentul area?

2. Any cheap 5G compatible Routers (that work with U Home 5G), preferably below RM200 (hard cap RM300) to recommend?

Hi, i am using Nokia fastmile 5g. I got the 5g coverage with green signal. But the speed i got only around 30-60Mbps.

Is there any setting i need to adjust in the modem?

Me and my family using umobile 5G at home no issue on postpaid phone line

Only the home 5G sim can’t connect to the 5G network

The thing is I seldom torrent.  Maybe once in a few months for a file or 2...
But the problem with this umobile is it's ZERO connections. If it's like throttled speed I still can accept. But it's totally zero. Sigh...

planning to get uhome with the router (24 months contract). but after reading last 5 pages of this topic, I think I'll settle with modified zlt x28 or aw1000 or tplink x50. still undecided until now. my maxis fibre contract will end this July, woohoo.

zlt x28 - modified, super cheap rm500+ only, got beta hotspot bypass mod (so can even just use yes prepaid rm30 monthly)

aw1000 - faster chipset, modified, can lock band, sadly no hotspot bypass yet (if it does this will be perfect choice for me), plan to use contract free umobile / yes sim

x50 - fast chipset, firmware lock not able to modified yet, but best official support from tplink + hassle free setup if I want to do mesh with other tplink deco

I'll keep researching & will buy a router in July. anyway, is there any other 5g router that able to bypass hotspot & price <1.2k other than zlt x28? tks.

When it all started, i could get around 600mbps from my modem placement using the same modem, nowadays with more and more 5G users using the network, my Uhome 5G speed stuck around 250-300mbps only..
