QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 19 2023, 03:11 PM) The roadtax thing is still under review by ministry of transport, the rm903 roadtax is if based on previous calculation. And Anthony Loke said he will release new calculation method by the end of the year I've not been following the news around this topic, is it looking promising or it could be worse? Also, do you have to apply for something special with TNB to get extra subsidy? This post has been edited by GameFr3ak: Jun 19 2023, 03:20 PM |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 19 2023, 03:13 PM) seem like almost double. probably still going for "wait and see" approach to decide on EV.. one, on the electric tarrif, another is on the road tax decision. GameFr3ak liked this post

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 19 2023, 03:20 PM) Thanks for the info. Based on his tone, sounds like he's aware that the calculation is too high and it's likely reduced. How about charging the EV outside? You posted that it's "free", is it common in most malls? |

You posted that it's "free", is it common in most malls? I actually got a ChargEV subscription. It cost RM240 annually and you can charge as much as you want on their slow chargers. Most malls are using the chargers from ChargEV companies. But there are also malls that use chargers from different company such as parkeasy and chargesini, their slow chargers are not free so i avoid those unless really cannot find parking so just pay and plug in. Then theres also malls which do not have any apps on them, simply park and cucuk cable to get free charging, as the one in GPO, KLCC, Wangsa Walk and Sunway Velocity This post has been edited by Boy96: Jun 19 2023, 03:34 PM GameFr3ak liked this post

I drive 5-6 days a week and seems plausible for me to never have to charge at home. But there are also malls that use chargers from different company such as parkeasy and chargesini, their slow chargers are not free so i avoid those unless really cannot find parking so just pay and plug in. Or if those are paid you would just charge at home instead? But there are also malls that use chargers from different company such as parkeasy and chargesini, their slow chargers are not free so i avoid those unless really cannot find parking so just pay and plug in. Yup, i charge at malls just because its free and close to the entrance, if it's not free then its not worth it, just charge at home only..I guess the main question is actually how often do you charge away from home, since my reading is most EV owners charge at home anyway. For normal city drive and u have home charging, can totally not rely on the public charger.. This post has been edited by Boy96: Jun 19 2023, 03:44 PM red_satu liked this post

QUOTE(Boldnut @ Jun 19 2023, 03:17 PM) RIP. They really need to get this battery price down. Saw a XC90 quoted RM35k for a whole battery pack replacement. But SC told me you wouldnt need to replace it when only a module are failure. Each are only RM6k and so far the owners are not needed to service it when it launched few years ago until now.Hopefully one day got standardize battery so 3rd party can make just like our lead battery & may be cost a few K only. |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 19 2023, 03:03 PM) Certain charge points have idle fees once completed charging Thank you for the reply. I understand now.ChargeSini chargers in certain malls charges you rm1 for every 5 minutes if you do not unplug and move your car after it has been fully charged. Other malls like klcc , gpo already ask u to park at premium parking to access the chargers Boy96 liked this post
