Ninja 250R and ER6N, which to choose?
sports bike riding position is better? but seems like 650cc can last longer for upgrade compare to 250cc. Kindly advice. |

QUOTE(yehlai @ Dec 4 2009, 02:28 PM) Ninja 250R and ER6N, which to choose? i think if you wana choose between the bike, better think bout the price coz as how much downpayment and monthly coz it's quite significant between them. Ofcoz ER6 will be better choice due to higher CC but even before buying a ride, ur excuses seems for hoping for ER6 because u feel of longer upgrade options. Sure even ER6 can't last long for ya. If u got higher budget, better get Z750 (2nd Hand) coz after u get ER6, u will think of upgrade after 6 months .... sports bike riding position is better? but seems like 650cc can last longer for upgrade compare to 250cc. Kindly advice. pain pain for 1 time oso good for ya if u cn afford it just my experience cheers!! |

Z750 is very pain, pain enough to get a 4 wheels. 750cc is inline 4, but only only have extra 100cc what? so big different? Still a naked bike.
worth the 30k extra? |

QUOTE(yehlai @ Dec 4 2009, 05:06 PM) worth 30k extra for the additional 100cc ? or have other special features? yehlai...no worries at all..i assume u've made up ur mind...go for ER6...after u bought it, do post the picture of ur latest toy... Im in dilema now, 250R or ER6N. btw, a 2007 Z750 will probably cost you RM40K and ER6 around RM33k, correct me if wrong. but now days 2nd bike price is out of control already... no matter wat bike u choose, as long as u have bikers semangat, everything will do. even a LC125 can go all the way to siemreap....semangat bikers...!!!happy weekend |

QUOTE(GI-Joez @ Dec 5 2009, 12:43 AM) just wanna ask.. im new to biking.. but very interested with yamaha R1.. is it ok for me to right away start with that bike..? or should i start low cc first..? but.. kinda malas to do that.. haha so how..? First of all, let's put things in perspective... a new yamaha R1 will set you back at least RM 85k, depending on which year the bike is produced... Are you thinking of spending so much money on a superbike without knowing whether it is really going to be your cup of tea? R1 is built for the race track, in other words it is a full-breed race bike... do you like racing? Or intend to ride regularly during open days at Sepang? Are you ready to pay around RM 1,700 each year for insurance & RM 350 each year for roadtax? Even if you are willing to lay down a 30% downpayment (RM 25k), at current interest rates, you will need to pay more than RM 1,200 per month (based on 5% int & 5 year repayment). Is this what you are willing to get into? I don't know about you, but this is a serious commitment, especially if you are married (worse if you have kids). If you really aspire to ride a liter bike, learn to ride a smaller bike first, else you might get yourself killed. (liter bikes are insanely powerful!) Check out small bikes such as the supersports (i.e. Honda CBR600rr, Kawasaki ZX6r, Suzuki GSXR600, etc), or even the smaller 250cc sports bike, they all will give you a good feel of what it is like to ride a sports bike. I aspire to own a liter bike (the CBR1000rr) sometime this year or next year, & have research & planned extensively for it... BTW, do you have a full B license? |
