On why the club is getting MM is because he will cover a lot of weaknesses/gaps in the midfield up to the front line.

This is based on what I read online, cos I like to read the reasons behind all things - be it tactical, or decision-making. Everyone should try it, once in awhile.😉

I do understand all the "anger". I too, used to break my keyboard/controller whenever I lose a game of CM/FM, even thou I know I can just restart from the previous saved to cheat.

Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure the club looking at the areas of improvements - striker, mf, cb, gk as mentioned ALOT.

But MM it is for now. Plan B is to use MM to lessen the burden of the current "aging" midfield and Rashford/whoever the backup striker we have next season and probably to try again in the next transfer market.

Who's next after MM? Probably Onana, yup, not a striker. What to do🤷‍♀️
Seems to be that way.

I'm just happy we can actually buy somebody as we're still screwed by the Glazers.

Doesn't matter if this is just strategy to give pressure to Chelsea or it is real, it is exactly what we shud do.

If ETH said yes to MM, the club should do whatever necessary.
Who are we to say NO lol.

Sorry but not agree.
Means if Chelsea want 80M then we pay 80M?

And for me, my point is not about which player Ten Hag wants.
It is about bargaining skill of our transfer team.
Most of the time we overpaid rather than just secure a normal price.

It is also not about "who are we to say no", we are just discussing football.
If every discussion just end with "Just support Ten Hag, who are we to say no".
Then there is no room for any discussion.

Rather than doubting Ten Hag choice, I put the blame on our scouting team as well.
Our so called scouting team, is even weaker than analysis account in Twitter.

They always only able to provide big names with big price to the manager, rather than hidden talents with reasonable price.
Scouting team of Brighton, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City can do it easily, but our so called scouts just can't.

If Qatar come in, the first thing he shud do, is to sack the scouting team.

Be it really lack of budget, or tactics to lower the price.
That is exactly what we shud do long2 time ago.

If the selling club knows their player is our only target, they have totally no reason to lower the price.
Be it fake or real, let them know we have 2nd or 3rd choice.

Dont think we will get caicedo if MM deal fails. Caicedo will cost even more and we competing with many clubs

Again, I don't doubt Ten Hag choice.
Yet, it is ridiculous we need to pay more than 55M, with one year left.
There are much better choice out there with cheaper price.

And now Chelsea said they will sell MM to foreign team at lower price, Bayern steps in

Caceido 80M
Onana 50M

Total 130M

We have 100M, so another 30M need to raise, why la Saudi club don’t want our players?

I'm not hot for MM at all. I can say I was more afraid of Eriksen in Spurs, Ward Prowse in Southampton, even Grealish in Aston Villa, Neves for Wolves and many others when they played us.
I cannot remember 1 time I see this player and say wow not bad. Except maybe during Charity shield.

Ask Maguire to convert then maybe a 100mil bid will come in.

Coz we are not "funded" by PIF laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Not sure how genuine that we are switching over to Caicedo who will burn a bigger hole in our transfer budget compared to MM. Plus does he really worth the quoted 80mil? blink.gif

I am still very surprised that the likes of Prowse/Lavia/Maddison has not linked with us at all since their relegation. Can't be that ETH think none of them fit his game style/strategy? hmm.gif

Your reasoning is sound and I respect that. We can always agree to disagree.

Just to clarify, my point for "who are we to say no", was based on the reaction to us who said yes to MM.
I don't see any of us saying MM is the best, MU is a fool to miss this. We believe that if ETH feels MM can help to improve the team, so be it.
What we as fans want is secondary, because the staff knows better.

My response was more towards the troll below your quote, sorry if it sounds like an attack to you. I noticed you edited your post, before that you sounded so angry at us lol. Point taken though.

Yeah, seems like it. MU is sticking to their offer of 55m. And ETH already gave the list of alternatives if they can't get MM.

That's why in my previous statement, with limited funds, we might just get one new player. Two is a major bonus, and probably a keeper - not a striker.

MM seems like a very strong candidate -- the player himself wants the move. Different when we try to get FDJ, which the player obviously didn't want to come.
And he is young and fast. I see him the same level as Greenwood. A prospect.

I know the pricetag is bad, Antony's 100m doesn't help.

And yes, the scout team should be fired.

But I like the rumour about the Sheikh being said his first layoff will be the top 3 folks - Arnold, Murtough and Fletcher. That would be a dream.

Prowse is good if he is playing alongside another DM, which similar to what McFred did, but he is good in free kick

Maddison, he is good but quite inconsistent and injury guy, Spurs guy soon

Lavia, another City academy like Sancho, worth 60M, as per what I read few weeks ago. Maybe 3rd choice if we can’t get MM or Caceido

Ya. MM is a prospect, that's why I think the signing not bad at all. Can be much better in future.

I would prefer Tielemans to Maddison. But he's gone.

I think right now we need somebody who can cover Bruno and can rotate with Eriksen, and flexible at the side and upfront. That's why MM is the most suitable (at the time). He's like a Lego block.

Prowse seems like a good kicker, other than that - just so-so.

No idea about Lavia. Will look him up.

55m + 5m final price, take it or we’ll come back again 6 months later. That time will be 20M + 5m during winter window or free transfer next year

while i agree MM is a good prospect, i dont really much into the deal
firstly the price...2ndly, what for overspent n help chelsea on their FFP?
let them sell as cheap as possible oversea....who care?
every player have their price....but i dont think one year contract worth more than 50M...
even worst, when we are lack of fund n aiming for profilic striker....

rashford jz doesnt fit as CF.....he more into LF like ronaldo....
certainly not a CF quality...let alone help holding the ball with his small body size.... doh.gif

Didn't know him, may be is a good player in terms of skill.
Yet certainly not someone who is good in planning his career.
8 years contract, that is a slave contact.
