I dunno why pipul has a preconceived notion when soldiers survive a mine/ATGM/artillery strike on a western military vehicle they can make it sound like the soldiers can immediately return to duty the very next day, saying 'at least it saves lives'.

Seems like all the injured and PTSD-ridden veterans of the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan we have seen for the past 20 years have proved most of the time soldiers who suffered these kinds of incidents will never return to frontline duty due to horrible battlefield trauma or being permanently crippled.
