The Washington Post has reported a grim assessment of Ukraine's counteroffensive by U.S. intelligence officials. They claim that Ukraine's Army won't be able to reach the crucial city of Melitopol, ultimately failing to sever Russia's land bridge route. The report added that Ukrainian soldiers were still struggling to break through Russian defences despite western help.

Ukrainian helicopter pilots admit Russian forces have an edge against them in the skies. Capt. Yevgen Rakita of Ukraine said Moscow has nearly five times more helicopters than Kyiv. The Captain said that the Russian arsenal includes Nimbler and an advanced K-52 Alligator Gunship. However, the Ukrainian pilot hoped the situation would change if the West arms Kyiv with fighter jets.

The US military officials advised Ukraine to stop targeting the Russia-held Crimea region. Speaking to CNN, they said that Ukraine should focus on breaking through Russian lines. This comes after Kyiv's forces stepped up their attacks on the Russian peninsula in recent weeks.

▫️ In Kupyansk direction, the Zapad Group of Forces repelled four attacks and counter-attacks of assault detachments from the 14th, 32nd, 44th mechanised and 95th Air Assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Sinkovka and Urochishche Mankovka (Kharkov region) .

▫️ Over 130 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, and two U.S.-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery systems have been eliminated in this direction during the day.

◽️ An AFU's ammunition depot was annihilated close to Goloskov (Khmelnitsky region).

▫️ Air defence facilities have shot down 23 unmanned aerial vehicles near Berestovoye (Kharkov region), Kremennaya, Zolotaryovka, Svatovo, Privolye (Lugansk People's Republic), Staromikhailovka, Spornoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Energodar and Shevchenko (Zaporozhye region).

Oleg Soskin, who has served as an aide to two Ukrainian presidents has lashed out at Volodymyr Zelensky calling him 'inadequate'. Soskin blamed Zelensky for the 'national catastrophe' in Ukraine and called on the MPs to hold him accountable. The former presidents' aide called Zelensky 'dangerous' for Ukraine.
To describe Zelensky as dangerous for Ukraine is a huge understatement. Hopefully with resistance and revolt from the Ukrainians, his regime of murderous terror and corruption as an agent and proxy of the west will come to and end soon.

🔻In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops from the "Western" group continue to storm Ukrainian positions in the Synkivka area. Statements about the operational encirclement and the imminent liberation of the village are premature.

At the moment, the fighting is taking place in landings to the east, where Russian units are improving their tactical position. With the support of artillery and aviation, enemy formations were knocked out of several strongholds.

Will US fighter jets really be a game changer in the Ukraine war?
Denmark and the Netherlands have been given approval by the United States to transfer some of their old F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, bringing the country one step closer to obtaining its long-demanded fleet. Ukraine believes that these jets will help to protect its skies from Russian attacks. Eleven countries, forming a coalition, are scheduled to train Ukrainian pilots to operate the aircraft this month in Denmark. Once training is complete, the transfer can proceed, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The exact number of planes to be transferred and when they will be put into action remains unknown. Ukraine does not anticipate using the F-16s until next year, and it has requested up to 80 jets to assist in its fight against Russia's invasion. The sale or transfer of the US-made jets must be authorized by Washington.

The US is running low on its stockpiles of ammunition after providing weapons worth billions of dollars to Ukraine to fight Russia. Washington Post has quoted unnamed sources as saying that the US has supplied more than two million 155-mm shells to Ukraine and now faces the problem of restocking its arsenal of artillery munitions and building new production lines.

It is going to get worse for Zelensky's regime...
