My 95 Acura Legend Coupe was well ahead of it's time and still one of my favorite rides.
3.2L V6 230hp, 206lb-ft torque.
Soft closing doors, power sunroof with tilt, and power adjustable rear corner windows.

Well built and looked new even next to my buddy's 2001 Lexus IS300 (pics circa 2002).

the west managed to catch up and overtake them, now with EV some more

the West push for EV but created another monster which is the China EV industry

there's no stopping now as history repeats itself with the EAST again dominating the EV industry laugh.gif

Coz they proved themselves 10 and 20 years earlier to be reliable when making electronics and home appliances, creating further assumption that their 90s cars also must be really top quality.

Who knew only recently it was exposed that some of their vehicles from decades ago , falsified emission test .

1990s Japanese cars are ROCK SOLID reliable, good build quality and cheap for 90% Malaysian.

2023 Japanese cars are NOT solid reliable, plastics build quality and not exactly cheap for 90% Malaysian.

Japanese cars are still very reliable la. U try go and drive a VW, Audi or BMW la then u know what is unreliable.

Apa Japanise ada? Evo 6. That's it.

Got others as well. Skyline R32 (still in production in early 90s), Honda NSX.

Japanese cars were sold not only on the basis of quality but the sheer amount of joy it gives u. They were so fun to drive . The days of the Evos and Subarus, Supra, GTR and who could ever forget the legendary Mitsu Airtrek Turbo.

Only BMW & VW could compete when it comes to the amount of fun u can have in a car. But the bmw and VW were hopelessly unreliable whereas the Japanese were rock solid

*
1990s is the rising era, 20002 is the golden era, 2010 is the peak era

2020s will be the sinking era due to competition from korean and china car manufacturers

All good things will come to an end
