Most of the China rom has not much issue, mostly cannot run android auto. Banking app as i use PBE no issue.
Even google wallet has no issue.

You CAN buy a Motorola phone from China but make sure it's SEALED and using CN ROM.
CN ROM
--- OFFICIALLY supports Google Play and other Google services so you do NOT need a Global ROM.

2 things that do NOT work in CN ROM:
- Android Auto
- Use "Hey Google" to talk to your phone. --- this is disabled from the settings. Of course you can open Google app /Gemini by tapping the icon or double tap the back of your phone to trigger Google Assistant/ Gemini

Yes, asking the selling if their sets are factory sealed sets. But can only trust their word for it I guess. 

Too bad Google Assistant is not working, as I do use the Hey Google feature quite a lot. Any work around? I am guessing CN rom will have their own voice assistant that is not linked to Google. Not really using Android auto, so no issues there.

Anyone can confirm if Global rom's Hey Google function will work?

Define Global ROM?

- Global ROM converted from CN ROM?
or
- Global ROM because the device is sold officially OUTSIDE of China (those you can buy from Motorola UK, etc)?
To answer your question, both should work (you can use Hey Google).

Again, if your "Global ROM" is converted from China ROM, you will not be able to do software updates.. ever 
Your phone is stuck on whatever of Android OS version you have right now.
