i'm using it now, however i don't feel like it is a must to use modded bios
they are just adding in some extra memory sub timings options into the modded bios
AFAIK, 605bios is the best bios for TA690G,
super pi 1M is 1s~2s faster than 07XX and also 08XX bios
you can try own your own and figure out whether it is true or not

DFI ultra2-M2 need to flash to a proper bios before you start oc
bro -pws- and CV6149 have experience on that,
maybe can invite them to share their opinion, again
0.5multi use on 90nm proc ( others nv try b4, F3 3800 confirm can) can cause memory controller bug
u want oc ur ram how high also no problem,
next time i show to you
the sub timings , take note of trfc and MAL
some mobo , default MAL for all memory dividers is too tight
Biostar TF6100am2 and DFI ultra2-M2 are known to have this issue.
for ultra2-m2, problem can be solved by flash to proper bios (modded bios from rebelshaven i guess, but i dunno which version )
for trfc, since you are using D9GKX now, just keep it as 75NS will do
if you feel like your ram is bottlenecking the oc when u go to higher clockspeed ( 3.5G above)
can try to slightly loosen this timings, it might helps

bro gsan, still ocing ur rig or not?

what bios you are using 1st?
in latest bios, few version of them are as good as 605 and come with new VGA bios which improve the graphic performance of integrated gc
but then i still love 605 bios as i'm not gaming nowadays or watch HD movie

if i'm not mistaken, AMD did some enhancements on the 1200 series' HDCP features
can greatly reduce the CPU usage when you watch HD movie (after flash to new bios)
btw, latest beta bios is ok, you can stick to it
it would be no different with 605 bios in term of overclocking

what's max that ur single 10th can go with max vdimm?
of coz, dimm slot that nearest to cpu area
