yeah.. the menu can only change the bus speed, and cpu and ram voltage... i am sure this is not ment for hard OCers
by the way, the display CPU voltage and the CPUz varies also....

any third party OC tool? i notice in forum alot of people use ClockGen...
*
can try FSBset , but i tried b4 when i was using TF7050. It won't work for me as well

QUOTE(jeromeccm @ Dec 14 2007, 02:50 PM)
ic... got it... then might as well buy a cheaper processor then clock the fella kaw kaw... save more.. ke ke ke
noob conclusion....  brows.gif

TF7050 is lack of something compare to TA690G

a) current version of clockgen is not supported
b) max vdimm 2.44v only
c) HT link cannot oc as high as TA690G
d) integrated gc performance lose to TA690G

other than that , TF7050 is superb. It pawns other older TF series mobo (TF590, 570,550 and all others) for sure in term of overclocking brows.gif

but if i were you , i will change my mobo to TA690G brows.gif ( that's wat i did last time laugh.gif )

why i cant set my ram vdimm to 2.35v?
It will stuck at bios setup.
*
that's a bios bug that i mentioned earlier
set vdimm to 2.35v, actual vdimm back to 1.90v

QUOTE(naz @ Dec 14 2007, 10:20 PM)
first of all, thanks for the info. very happy to know that.

will get back to my house ASAP and try it. now still in office, many works not finish yet  cry.gif

about the temperature, other 3rd party software also cant detect the exact temp? or even update to the latest BIOS also still cant detect the exact temp? huhuhu...

for the HTT, i saw at my BIOS there, the highest is 1000mhz. so, can i set it to 1000mhz? after that value, cant go further?

thanks again for the help...
*
may i know what's the mobo that you are using now?
HT link is ocable, no worries icon_rolleyes.gif
IMO, HT link oc is as important as proc & ram oc in order to find out the best performance of ur rig

QUOTE(allenultra @ Dec 14 2007, 10:41 PM)
HTT, try to set below or near 1000 all the time. smile.gif

Not all AM2 can run stable > HTT 1000
*
what you said is quite true.
but then IMHO , should try to find out what's the max HT link that ur mobo can go also ( like wat we did for proc and ram usually).

An optimize OCed rig shouldn't just focus on proc and ram oc only. HT link oc also playing a role for that (Especially those guys who are using integrated gc for gaming, you will benefit a lot if you oc the HT link laugh.gif ).

This is one of the SS that i love most wub.gif
at 3.4GHz , ram at its CL4 limit and HT link at its max
and results of that,
super pi 1M result show up to be faster than usual at this speed brows.gif
if someone settle the electric bill for me, i will consider to use this settings for 24/7 as this is definitely a sweet spot for me laugh.gif

clockspeed = 3400MHz
ram speed = 1133MHz
ram timings= 4-4-3-3-2T

In thats case, the perfect HTL should be around 900 to 1000 rite?
*
you try to oc 1st, see how far it can goes
according to what i've seen. Most of the mobo HT link can oc to at least 1100-1200 like that smile.gif

What is the Vdimm for this tight timing?

bro ongbs, max vdimm i used
i'm only interested with stock voltage and max voltage brows.gif
those figures at the middle all can skip laugh.gif

I think my rams limit my OC. sweat.gif
Better grab 10th ann. thumbup.gif

ha, better check properly
IMHO , if your balistix cannot make it, 10th probably can't make it as well
so what's your problem actually?

im not using the f3 from the 2nd bulk.  sweat.gif
gain~  doh.gif

does anyone using the same mobo with me encounter it before? or is it my RAM that holding me back from OC?

btw, does anyone knows, why my pc cant be switched on? even cant load the bios. im facing a problem of my pc keep on switch on-off-on-off till i switch off the plug. last time, lohwenli told me,am2 mobo is very sensitive with the memory timing... is the timing that he meant is for FSB or for RAM??  hmm.gif

yesterday,i've OCed till 2.5ghz with 1.35v, ram to 533 with 2.15v. orthos run for 2 hours, stable. then i switched off my pc during nite. just now morning turn it on,got the problem. need to clear CMOS back a
btw, im using Corsair valueram & mobo Biostar TA690G  icon_question.gif
*
value ram on TA690G? hmm.gif
change ur trfc in dram configuration (in bios) to 195NS
and pls show SS if can icon_rolleyes.gif

2.25V.
2.35V cannot.
2.45V stucked and hang at bios.
sweat.gif

1140 CL4 , i need 2.6vdimm to do that sweat.gif
don't compare those results that achieved by intel platform
oc ram with intel platform (especially p35 mobo) and amd am2 platform are totally different stories
amd am2 is harder to oc ram
and 2.35v in bios of TA690G is a bug, actual vdimm is 1.9v

i was brisbane user once.
my results are still in that Pi 1M thread
this is my fastest result by using brisbane, 26.922s laugh.gif
