I went to asics

They said the kayano is best for me based on how I walk

They were right

That shoe feels like the cheat code for me to run, hated running before this

You must have either flat foot or overpronate feets.
Koyano is a support shoes for these issues.
Good choice.

Cannot compare
These people from babies also started running barefooted everywhere. Normal feet like us can't even take 5 steps on our roads barefooted.

Bin into fitness nowadays, did some 10km fun runs and now want to go into half marathon.

But somehow my apple app keep showing my vo2 max is only 27.
But treadmill and indoor cycle show my range around 41-43.
So i want to really improve my vo2 max on apple app by deciding to jog /run outdoor.
Can recommend good our door running shoes and model?

after you tried hoka you won't even think of other shoe brands..

VO2 reading on the watch is just an approximate. I'd trust garmins more than apple, but its something. Unless you are a national athlete or competing for podiums, the reading on the watch is good enough rather than going to those labs to test your real VO2max.

Shoes to recommend daily trainers

1) Asics Novablast 3 - good cushioning, good enough to do tempo & faster runs.
2) Nike Pegasus 39 - daily trainer from Nike, suitable for long easy runs, can be use for faster runs too, I've personally used them and have clock around 750km in these shoes

Most important thing is to make sure you enjoy what you're doing and maintain consistency. Your VO2Max will improve over time.

Yeah i think Garmin actually cooperated with one of the labs that does Vo2 Max testing, got their complete data set and incorporated it into their alrgorithm to estimate.

Got ppl shared before, their Garmin measured Vo2Max was withinkg +/- 5% what they tested in the lab.
