All PSP sifus pls help.
My newly bought PSP after play for a week but last nite the memory stick not working anymore, can't be format. This happen after I started to found few games not working and I backup it using PC and try to format the memory stick. Is that possible the fake memory stick already con ? and is that possible to rectified or else I need to claim from the shop? Thx.

maybe u need to change the UMD mode to Sony9660/NO UMD or M33 driver
they only stated that CPU OC has been revived, but not yet on the MSPD-CSO thingy

If you look closely during the installation of -5, you can see that galaxy.prx was replaced again. I have no problems playing my games now in -5. But it could be because I'm not using the Sony or M33's driver for games.

The only major difference is the transfer speed. Fakes will take you ages to complete the transfer of your legally backed-up game from your computer, while oris will need significantly lesser time. IIRC so far, no major complaints about in-game speed.

thanx for the feedback DFlo
so the in-game speed will less likely be affected?
how about the life line of the fake mspd?
looking at the price, i assume it would be significantly shortened? laugh.gif
would it have a higher tendency of corrupting datas?

about this.. basically it is more ur luck.sometimes ppl get their mspd corrupted early.sometimes still ok till now.for example,me myself i got 3 fake mspd, 2gb, 2gb high speed, 4gb.all 3 mspd still fine until now..bout few years2 for those 2gb mspd.the 4gb i just bought recently..bout 4-5 months.so cant tell much. just want to advice that u need to take a very good care of the fake mspd since the plastic is thin and easily break to pieces.that's all.

Well, there has been a lot of word going around that says the risk of corrupted data at any given time is higher (due to cheaper chips, I suppose), if compared to an ori one. But so far, I've heard only very few complaints on that. The only thing I keep hearing is the transfer speed problem.

Hi guys, I am very new to PSP. I won a psp in a lucky draw just 2 days ago. Now deciding whether to sell it or not. Have crappy knowledge on PSP so I did a bit of research and noticed that most of the games are racing/soccer etc etc. Didn't notice any nice RPG game in PSP so I am now in a dilemma whether I should keep it or sell it. I notice that there are a lot of other functions in PSP but I have no idea how to use them tongue.gif And how much does a PSP go for? It's a white slim with no memory stick. There's a camera, battery and power cord and that's that.

Well for sony Final Fantasy is the RPG(its either you love it or hate it thinggy).
Sad to say there is only 3 titles of this series for the PSP at the moment(not counting ps1 emulators because FF7, FF8 and FF9 are still buggy while running on the emulator).
I think you should try playing it first then you'll know if it is worth keeping. But then again without a memory stick you might find it quite painfull for RPGs(or would the game even load without a memory stick).
Besides Final Fantasy there are other titles such as D&D but mostly they are turn base RPGs.
