QUOTE(akachester @ Oct 13 2007, 10:12 AM) I was expecting the PSP Slim price to be quite expensive in the first place but that doesnt seem the case here. Heck, its even cheaper than the FAT..Damn! I should have waited for a few months... no lar, in most places the Slim is expensive than Phat one, coz Slim lesser accessories so it may seem slightly cheaper

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Oct 13 2007, 02:47 PM) yeah, weird, i know. 2GB stick. before i formatted it using the PC, i inserted the MSPD to the PSP but it wouldn't detect, even thoguh i wanted to format it there. so i then took it out and formatted it with the PC. deleted everything and then formatted it, still no success. it could be the contact pins on the mspd couldn't touch the pins inside the psp mspd reader or that ori sandisk is too thin until psp can't detect it, and fake mspd usually is a bit thicker than the ori one

want to ask u guys, when using 4 gb mspd, which file system u choose to format the mspd?
i heard that using PSP to format a 4 GB mspd, it will automatically use FAT32, but I heard that when using FAT32, it will introduce major lagginess in loading and streaming. Is that true? Currently I am using FAT16, formatted using PC.
So if FAT32 in 4 GB work as good as FAT16, I might reformat it to FAT32

even with extra UMD buffer in Slim, playing games with UMD is still slower than using mspd afterall, the game's startup time will still be slower in UMD its legal to rip the games if and only if u own and keep the original UMD

QUOTE(TerryZeroX @ Oct 23 2007, 05:01 PM) It only speeds up game loading and psp wifi is limited due to the 802.11b, while most wifi devices uses the 802.11g which is faster there's been some websites saying that the additional NAND help boost up the speed of web browsing, more cache i suppose whether its 802.11b or g, it doesn't matter, our most expensive broadband is just 4 Mbps, heck I am even using 11Mbps wifi on my PC now

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Oct 28 2007, 02:09 AM) anyone tried playing a backed up game file size above 1.5 gb(ie;fifa 08/daxter/etc) on a 2gb stick? does it lag during gameplay(fifa 08) does the movies lag?(daxter) i tried playing my backups on a 4gb stick, and they lag during the times stated above note:2gb compatible stick.not ori stick i remember i played daxtor not too long ago, everything was smooth, but the psp went freeze after the first save. to use 4 GB smoothly, always format it in the PC, using command prompt to format it to FAT, if format using PSP it will become FAT32 --> the cause of many many lagging.

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Oct 28 2007, 08:19 PM) orite..thanks i'll try it.. can i just cut out my folders/games/etc format the stick using the command prompt, then paste back all the folders? cos i cant think of any other way, since formatting it again with the PSP(to create the folders) will reconvert the stick back to FAT32 thanks for the help yup... just backup the contents of mspd into pc before u format it, after that just copy back

QUOTE(myqd @ Nov 12 2007, 03:13 PM) anyone bought a 2G or 4G MS recently(these 2 weeks) ?i found the 2G MS,both version(one with adapter,blue/white packing, another one without adapter,red/white/brown packing) are totally different with the previous one, even the packing still same. The speed is VERY slow. For example i download the Silent Hill Origin(785MB) took about 26 mins to finish. After finish u cant even read the game in psp. However, the 4G version still remind same like previous,no problem at all. So anyone face the same slow 2G MS,or maybe slow 4G MS? thanks in advance. u know... sometimes even the imitation also got class A till class C one... I got 1 Class C 4 GB mspd before... only can store up to 1.5GB only...

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Nov 13 2007, 12:21 PM) PSP got tons of games. Cannot really keep up with it. I think the best car/racing game I've played so far would be Juiced 2. Anyone knows if ProStreet is coming to the PSP? And, would it have the damage effects (visually) ? Would be cool if it does. portable version will be out.... next year
