I bought P750 in PC fair that come with 4GB mem card, extra batt and a 1GB IPOD Shuffle at RM2399. Quite worth it. But guys and gals I have some problems here. Could you help me please.

1st, I want it to display the password locking screen once it wakes up from standby. Thus, I set 0 minutes in settings -> lock. But ended up, it is same as the 1 min settings because the device get locked out after 1 min (again, although I am setting 0 min). I don't see this problem in WM5. Anyone encounter this? How to rectify the problem?

2nd, after an sms arrive in my inbox and read it. Then I reset the whole device by the small hole beside. I found that the sms that I read just now has disappeared. Anyone encounter the same problem as mine?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Why not look like PDA phone, any reason. Or PDA phone must have specific look? hmm.gif

Well, my friends just bought this phone, my first look make me remember my old Motorola E398. Casing covered by thin rubber layer. by first look, the screen look a bit smaller from P525. Come with Mapking R12. He want to learn drawing GPS map so install for him GPS Proxy + Garmin Que (for easy and free solution). thumbup.gif

Lovely_Gal, I have similiar problem with you when I first get my pda from the shop. They have loaded tons of software in there. My solution is hard resetting it.

After hard reset and reinstall those software that I need only. The whole day also didn't hang already.

I am user of P 750 for about 2 months Now,,,, Yes .... the set hang for no whatsoever reason .....

Now its seem ok ... cos .... the lesser you tick tick the phone the more stable it is......

well .... the ONLY good way to test the P750 is by NOT install any software to it and run the phone for about 3 weeks or so ...

then install one software ( original one lahh ) per week at a time....(you boleh tahan Kah >>??)

cos what i gather ,this phone processor in NOT able to run smooth with too much "software" too soon.
( expsecially when it is still new )

Processor need time to adjust to the speed of operating.......

overall the Phone is OK .... good with some problem of "hang"

it is human , we like to boost about ...pay your $$$ for the set .. and you want to run the set like "ferrari"

halo , abang .. pelahan pelahan laahhh

Wah... Nice step you take there. Like buying new car. Before it reach 1000km, don't over speed, don't rev your engine to max.

But by not using it no point lah buying PDA, less use more stable, over use than you are in trouble. tongue.gif

I never went back, I did it myself.

During my first time hard reset, before install CE Star, I install some other thingy first, and the phone didn't go hangs. After I install CE star and reboot, the phone immediately hang.... Subsequently, I see frequent hanging....

Now this is the 2nd time I hard reset but this time I didn't install CEStar and guess what, it didn't hang at all. Even when I am playing with GPS la, emails la...this and that la...still boleh tahan lagi.

It depends on your need, so far these are what I wanted. I am still in the midst of doing PST on the stability of the pda with all these software installed. At the same time also doing UAT on spbPhoneSuite and OAT on Garmin GPS system.

Hard reset: start -> settings -> system tab -> default settings...
WARNING: ALL CONTENT IN YOUR PHONE WILL LOST FOREVER. Content including your docs in your device's memory, sms, mms, contacts and etc. But whatever you stored on your mem card will remain as it is.

So far these are the steps I used:
Installed Apps:
1. GPS Proxy
2. Garmin Que
3. Opera
4. PHM Regedit
5. spbGPRSMonitor
6. Mapking 2007
7. dEar IME
8. softkey
9. spbMobileShell
10. spbPhoneSuite

Post Installation Steps:
- Copy sunglobe.ttf to my device\windows
- Run patch
- Patch GPS Proxy
- Check GPS Proxy settings
- Restore Garmin settings
- Patch Mapking
- Register opera
- Register GPRSMonitor
- Register spbMobileShell
- Register spbPhoneSuite

Yes, get them online...

Hehe...I don't like to play games in my pda. smile.gif

Added on May 1, 2008, 1:04 amphahmeen, yes, i like Garmin compare to Mapking. Although use mapking will save my hassle to compile maps, but I still prefer Garmin because of the functionality and user friendliness.
