hi all.

i would like some opinion from otai here between new saga and used honda city. my max budget is around 60k. this will be my first car since i started working for 3 years.

my main priority is easy to maintain, reliable in the long run, not a fuel guzzler and comfort. i will be using the car maybe just for the weekend and once a month going back to kedah from selangor.most of the time i will drive alone. weekday i will ride motor to work.

the reason i choose sedan is because i gonna get married by next year so it will be my family car.

if i take the saga i can make the installment shorter to 7 years and if i choose city maybe 7 years installment kinda hard for me and opt for 9 years

i hope u all can advice me which is better in the long run or u can suggest another car for me as long as it meet my requirement.

thanks

Better get Saga because it is new, less headache to maintain.
And as you mentioned, you could afford shorter installment with Saga.
Of course a little bit fuel guzzler but this is for weekend drive only. And it is comfort.

i used saga from 2011 until 2019. Never breakdown. Only have to change wear and tear item. just want to share i never do service my proton saga aircond and only topup gas once. and the aircond working perfecly.

If money is tight until need to take 7 or 9 year loan,
It might be wise to avoid used car unless you really know the history for fear of expensive major breakdown.

At least new car any major issues likely be settled under warranty first 5 years.

Most important step = Test drive

The problem with 1.3Litre is out of breath really easily. once reach 90kmh, feel out of power already and need to press deep if want to overtake with breeze.

My opinion is, why not just get newer persona lipas. its got more powerful 1.6L and newer with zero wear and tear. 1.3L is too weak owh. and it still under ur rm60k budget.

if u take low specs without skirting yes it looks abit weird. after add skirting (Ori expensive or aftermarket cheaper) it would look much nicer
