Unlike the London clubs reinforcing during the January transfer window, our manager isn't getting much help to date.

Erik ten Hag has urged Manchester United to "strike" in the transfer market if an opportunity arises before Tuesday's deadline.

United have so far added only loan striker Wout Weghorst in January with sources telling ESPN the club are instead focused on strengthening the squad in the summer.

But with just days to go before the deadline, Ten Hag has put pressure on the board to keep pursuing new signings ahead of what could be a busy second half of the season in four competitions.

"In the coming days, if we had the opportunity I would go for it but that's not also up to me, that's also clear," said Ten Hag.

"I think this club always has to have the approach that every day you have to get better so if there are opportunities to get better then you have to strike.

"That's my approach so I'm looking around, to research but I have an idea with which profiles we could strengthen the squad."

United are the only English team left in four competitions and Ten Hag is keen to have a squad big enough to cope with the demands of a season that could stretch to more than 60 games.

Same old stories I guess.

Pancing wanna sell. Padahal don’t want to sell pun. So leech club to death. Don’t want to buy players because club “perform”. Wait till players fatigue, and everything will crumble. Lol.

Ten Hag almost full force, not even half, like 80%.
Look at the middle and attacking line.
Please tolong score 3 or 4 goals before 60 mins, so can sub in 5 players to rest some over-utilized players.

He has been criticized for that at Ajax as well, constantly using the same players even when he doesnt need to.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has explained the reasons for Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay being absent for tonight’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Reading.

McTominay was on the bench against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, but did not make an appearance. His last start came against Arsenal in the 3-2 loss at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday.

As for Shaw, he also started in the defeat to the Gunners last weekend, but was missing from the squad that travelled to The City Ground on Wednesday night.

Speaking to MUTV, Ten Hag said that he is hopeful the duo can make a swift return against Forest in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

“Luke is ill and Scott has a small problem,” said Ten Hag.

“We don't want to take risks, so I hope they can be back on Wednesday but I'm not sure.”

Haiz ... Can create chance, but no luck.
No blaming, already considered good if compared to last season where once opponent park the bus, totally dunno what to do.
Now at least know what to do, just need some luck.

That goal should have stood, the defender made an intentional block of that pass which makes Weghorst onside.
