OMG. I dont have a Wii but i really want this game. Mayb i should start looking for one hmmm. Any idea when the release date is?

Going to get this game soon and need to clarify something:

1. Can play on LAN?
2. Is online free?
3. Can offline (LAN/multiplayer) access every quests?

1. LAN will be 2 player split screen.
2. No, Monster Hunter online is nvr free.
3. Offline can access every quest.

Gundam nvr play monster hunter?

Only the PSP ones

I understand need to buy extra stuffs/quests, but not sure can buy and play them offline or not

In Japan there will a couple of free deals where you can try the game for 20 or 90 days. After the free trial you can pay for 30 days (800 Wii Points), 60 days (1,500 Wii Points), or 90 days (2,000 Wii Points).

The trial is only valid for 20 days.. I'm more concern about offline play now

1. No LAN mode. 2 Player is splitscreen and LIMITED TO ARENA TRIAL QUESTS ONLY. That means you are given set equipments instead of bringing your own and your friend can transfer his/her character data from his/her wii by storing the character data into their wiimote (character data only, no equips or items) to bring to their friends' house.

2. Online is never free for the japanese versions. MH1 US for PS2 was free but the server went down only after 3 years in service.

3. No. Offline can never access all quests. There will always be monsters exclusive to online and offline.

the very first Monster Hunter online is free to play on PS2. Me and my wife, both on HR20. Very friendly community, very big too.

i m still waiting for the US release. if the US release is p2p for online, i ll show capcom the middle finger not even get it at all.

p2p for mh series is a rippoff, at most 4 persons playing y cant they let users connect directly to other users for free?

since mhtri US isnt out i am still keeping my fingers crossed...

I think that was the method for ps2's MHO. And yes, it was only 4 persons. still remember those laggy nites, freezing Rathalos good times. I may get a Wii just for this game. Just for this game.
