Oh man, all the paranoid comments about Samsung OLEDs  despite being used widely by all high tier smartphone.

That's why don't take your phone into bath, swimming etc. Nothing last forever.

There's about 6 Samsung phones in my family (S22U/S23U/S23FE) and I have yet to see a single one failing. Not even the older S9+. The only failure was my wife S8+ screen which turned black and white (not light saber) and replaced under warranty. Still works like charm today.
*
I've never even soaked my phone or even splashed with water, but my S9 plus, Note 8, Note 20 Ultra, and S23 plus all suffered from this light saber issue lol.. My phone is well protected in pristine condition (zero scratches), it's all about luck?

Anyway, just to update that Samsung (de Garden) somehow acknowledged and agree to fix my S23 Plus screen for free, but need approximately 1 week though to wait for parts, only need to pay 80+ for labor fees

Luck?

I dont know man. To be honest, I have cousins (we are a family business) and the two of them also change phones together (since I could get some discount when my sister used to work in SME). With them included, I have a pool about 12 phones with the lowest end S8+ (I still have a S6e that works like charm). We do have 1 case of light saber with my cousin's S20+ (IIRC) which my cousin let him son threw a couple times and always took into shower (which I said one should not do that often). Apart from my wife and parents phone, we game a lot on our phone, charging twice or sometimes 3 times when we were into it.

Anyone with light saber screen love to put their phone into their back pocket and sat of them? Just wondering since you all claimed you took good care of it.

Think you're fortunate compared to others.

Failing hardware is not something that I would deny at this point but when one person has multiple phone with the same failure, I'm more interested in why him/her and how he/she is using the phone differently. I myself aint really someone who took good care of my phone as well. No SP, just a simple case, charging multiple times everyday even playing games while charging.

Just told them after update to OneUI7, got that light saber and forum lowyat says got free replacement for display but subject to Samsung HQ approval.
They will then say - need to leave phone for a while there while they submit the request to Samsung.

Note: My phone no physical damage on the outside as well because they will check.

Latest unverified news from the FB group, they will now check whether you are the original owner. Only original owner can claim. If you buy used unit, cannot claim.
