Has anybody bought Redmi Note 12 Turbo & flashed Poco F5 rom? Will it run the same? Any drawbacks?

cant use 5G and warranty send back to seller/china..

how about EU Rom? 5g is ok?

im ok with the warranty as im not in Malaysia now. Main concern is whether banking apps will work.

its the hardware itself doesnt support malaysia's 5G band..
nothing to do with the software iirc, happy to be corrected on this..

if you not in malaysia then go check the country you residing in whether the 5g supported.. but warranty will be a headache for you la if you buying note 12 turbo in malaysia and staying other country.. so you have to send back to seller in malaysia first then only seller send back to china

Yes here I got 5g support I'm at HCM city. I bought the phone here as well. Roughly RM1.1k which I think is a reasonable price.

To be clarified, the band china sets lacks is the anchor band for our current NSA network (b28 lte). If in the future either DNB or second entity launch standalone (SA) network eventually which use N78 (which all china set also have), then there is large chance china set can eventually use 5g in standalone (SA) mode

Thanks for the clarification. I decided to use the stock China rom. There is a notification bug for all xioami phones and I also found a way to solve it. For those having problems, go to battery and select the autostart. Put those apps to allow autostart then problem solved.

Is anyone getting issues with watching Netflix? I can't seem to watch it and I get the error enclosed.

I'm using note 9s on miui13. The auto-start will always default to off by itself again even when I don't reboot the phone.
Do you have this issue?

for notification bug i find most of the time the culprit is battery saver.. so just turn it off for the affected app..

there's 3 approach to this:
1) enable auto-start
2) disable battery saver
3) lock the app

try 1 and 2 first. if still not solved only try 3

1&2 already tried. Reluctant to try 3 because there are a few such apps to consider, plus my phone only has 4Gb RAM and the phone is already slow enough.
So wondering if poco f5 will have the same issue though.

hmm personally i dont face this issue so i cant tell.. what apps giving you trouble?

for whatsapp i did have notification delay at first but that is fixed by turning off battery saver..

and the only app i need to lock is spotify because i find that when using with bluetooth in car, after returning to car i cant play songs on my car's media player and have to use the phone and open spotify first.. the issue was the app was already put to sleep thats why.. so after locking the app it solved for me and when i return to my car i can straight press play on the media player. no need touch my phone..

Whosecall and Garmin Connect (to connect to my Garmin watch) are two of them.

i dont use those apps, so i have no experience on them.

but if done the above steps still dont fix it then unfortunately it is MIUI problem..

Is there any better for value phone for RM1.39k and below? I think it's hard to beat it. I contemplated Poco F4, Honor 70 but the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is too far ahead in performance. Also considered Pixel 6/6 Pro but worried about it's network issues.

Better value is very subjective. Take my case as example. I've used redmi note 4 and now 9s. Always have complaints about glitches now and then. Always told myself to get samseng for my next phone as my experience with Galaxy S2 was good.

Now that A54 is out, I'm still contemplating it vs poco f5 too due to the SoC, IR blaster, lighter weight and 3.5mm jack.

All phone also have glitches. I think the weakest part of poco F5 is the camera that is what initially made me consider Honor 70, but Honor 70 do not have OIS so I chose the F5. I can still edit the photo after taking it so overall works better for me.

I also have a weird error that I can't play Netflix properly, hopefully it is a software or rpm issue which can be fixed. I would consider Samsung only if it is the flagship series, even older flagship still better than A series.

Ive used Samsung, asus and xiaomi phones. The latter is the one with many glitches. Sometimes icons in the bottom bar in home page will disappear and re-appear after rebooting. Things like that.
