Malaysia pricing for these phones are surely depressing for the specs.

IQOO Z7 has downgraded LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 compared tos LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 found on Z6 and Z5. Not to mention, no ultra-wide sensor and no OLED. IQOO Z7 going to be tough sell unless it officially sells under RM1000

It's directly competitor is just Poco X5 pro

No ultrawide - not like that rubbish 8mp sensor on other models can be much more useful though. But IMO ultrawide (of at least 12mp) is must have nowadays

No oled - not everyone need oled especially PWM sensitive person, that how IQOO targets at ( although imo currently any ips panel out there are mediocre anyway, including poco X4 GT panel)


Is it a tough sell? Not really because 120w (proprietary protocol, as usual) can be quite attractive for those tired of 33w , 67w or slower wattage protocol

Harry Potter back panel is really cun including the casing, really match nicely.
Downside is the theme is not full, only lockscreen, AOD and bootscreen are themed. No HP icons. This is first time I bought Limited Edition that half-themed like this

For me Oppo Find X2 League of Legends is the best looking for Limited Edition. Every inches are themed all the way to charger, cable and earpiece.
Oppo so far is the only company that do it thoroughly for the Limited Edition. Just look at Reno 6 Pro+ Detective Conan Edition.

i did bought the cheapest version the one without nfc function.

no choice as my old phone suddenly died and i only have enuff budget for the cheapest version. i guess i can live without nfc fucntion at least for another year.

got. 5g pro and 5g both got nfc. i did checked both phones at mi outlet.

as someone that used/own RN8, RN9, RN10, RN11 and now RN12

for camera imo... I notice RN10 is way way better in term of colour and details coz both the RN11/12 look abit white-ish and the contrast/colour capture is not great.

as for day 2 day usage compare RN10/11... RN10 still better and snappier during daily usages and have better software support running on miui 14 while the RN11 still on miui 13.
no comment yet f or RN12 coz only used for 2 days. Hope this can replace my main phone RN10.

not sure if this is MIUI14 issue or Android 13 OS issue:

annoyance #1: cannot fully disable auto-sleep (max 10mins before lock display). i read this is Android default setting.
annoyance #2: when charging, there is no notification light after the initial charging animation.
annoyance #3: zero notification light indicator. very very annoying. also got the initial notification, but after that, zero.

I got RN10, it uses the same notification light as rn12 (left and right vertical light)

however rn10 keeps pulsating thw lights while rn12 only show 1 time.

very annoying lol


**rechecked rn10. seems like behavior same as rn12. I guess this is miui14 feature instead of phone specific. rn10 was originally came with miui13, later upgraded to miui14.
