yeah you're right abou that 32bit support as Mediatek is dropping support for 32bit on the D9200's performance cores.

i"m not a tech pro person, but still able to install the google playstore quite easily. There are few methods available online which can be easily found through YT.

As for the google map timeline, android auto, google wallet, luckily all these app are not compulsory to me. Plus I'm aware of it way before I decided to proceed with the purchase. (I'm the kind of person who always survey 1st  )

I almost pull the trigger for Xiaomi phones, but luckily get to know their issues before I did it. Since then this brand never come across my mind anymore no matter how good the specs are.

Anyway, I think Malaysia Vivo X90 series going to launch soon after CNY, judging from their marketing widely seen online already. Lets see whether any price increment and what kind of early bird offers Vivo MY will provide...

Things might have changed quite a bit.

From I have read, the previous convenient ways to install play store, by installing Gmail from Vivo store first, might not be working anymore.

Now the Vivo store provides a "ourplay", but that is an emulator for playstore, your usual android app is run over the emulator, they are not actually installed. When you delete "ourplay", your apps installed from playstore is automatically deleted.

Let me know how to install the actual playstore without "ourplay".

First time using vivo, how to create a large size folder like this ?

Was busy celebrating CNY for the pass few days.

So far I discover some issues. Some can be fixed, some need to tolerate.

1. FB messenger notification issue.

I always like dark mode for system theme. So no matter how I set the notification for FB messenger, it won't show in the status bar nor sound during incoming msg.

Until I uninstalled and reinstall for few times, plus ask some net friends to screen record his X90Pro+ setting and let me compare. And the culprit was DARK MODE.

You need to put system theme into normal mode, and individually set FB messenger to dark mode(if you prefer it), and voila, notification works fine. It will show in status bar, sounds.

But bear in mind, the sound will only ring for the 1st 2 times of continuous incoming msg, then it will only show msg without any sound. Looks like a bug to me, but already far more better than nothing.

2. Whatsapp & WA Business

Notifications works for both under Personal msg. But when comes to Group msg, issue arise again.

But this round, I can't find any solution and have to tolerate with it.

Group msg will only sound during the 1st incoming msg, from 2nd msg onwards it will not sound at all, but will still shows notification icon at the status bar.

But if you dismiss the notification icon from the status bar, or read the msg inside group chat, the following incoming group msg will work like normal again. Again it seems like a bug to me.

Too bad Vivo App Clone are limited to very few apps only, otherwise I won't need to resort to WA Business in order to have 2 whatsapp in 1 phone.

Other models I'm not sure, for X90Pro+ I didn't see whatsapp inside the clone list. And mostly supported apps for cloning are chinese apps.

Just wondering if you did apply tempered glass? On my X80pro, after applying TG, the finger print sensor doesn't detect. The installer said, most likely its due to the U3D fingerprint scanner. Hmm, thinking if I should remove the TG.

Right, X80p also works with mask on, thats really helpful and great since it measure many outline points on the face to match even with mask or dark area.

But the things many apps, is not face enabled they still rely on fingerprint, like outlook, authenticator, maybank, mymed (medical), etc. SO had rely on fingerprint.

But with the current trend I do forsee many apps would also cater for face recoq very soon.

Hope your TG works well for you, many dont sell TG for vivo, so only tried with one supplier who did the second try for free, still it didnt work.

I think it depends on account. It is strange to say this but I also have whatsapp notification issue on my Mi3 (sold by Mi Malaysia) last time whereas the one I helped my bro get for his wife works just fine for her. 2 years ago bought an IQOO Neo3 5G and guess what, I get this problem again (previously using Samsung all the while). I even showed my customers who complaint I never picked up whatsapp call that I get nothing by asking him to call infront of me. I hard reset the IQOO and passed it to my son who had no problem whatsoever with getting his whatsapp notifications.

I'm not even sure what broke it. Tried those tricks where you locked the app to prevent the task killer from terminating it, etc but nothing helps. I even ported from Maxis->Digi->Maxis->Yoodo->XOX->Hotlink over the years but nothing changed. China ROM plus this number will not get whatsapp notifications. I had no problem getting whatsapp notification from both Realme 6 and GT Neo 3 though(both local set).

Actually quite strange with Origin OS.

I chatted with 2 FB friends, one is using Iqoo 9 (upgraded from Origin Ocean to Origin OS 3.0) and another one is using X90Pro+ (spec exactly same like mine).

Iqoo 9 just set his phone without removing the pem using adb, never lock app in the background, not even turn off the smart notification and his iqoo 9 still able to receive notification on time.

While the X90pro+, he used the adb method, never turn off smart notification, never lock app in background, didn't even set high power consumption in background, and yes he too manage to receive notification.

As for me, I combine both of their method PLUS turn off smart notification, only manage to get on time notification.

Anyhow beside unable to use google map timeline and android auto, the rest I'm very pleased with my X90Pro+. Especially I'm finally able to get better & stable line signal (which result a better & smoother data coverage) comparing with my 3yr+ Note 10+. Which from the very beginning already encountering POOR signal reception!!!

I'm so glad that I made a right decision by choosing Vivo as my current device. Hope that Vivo will improve on their arrangement for their Setting Menu as it really take some time to get use to it.
