IN his article Sushi and dragons (OtakuZone Oct 28), Facepalm.jpg stated that he was disappointed with Mobile Suit Gundam OO. He said: "The character designs look funny. You can't even differentiate males from the females."
I do think he said that because of only one character - Tieria Erde, pilot of the Virtue Gundam. The sex of the other characters can be differentiated easily. Tieria is the only character that looks like a girl, and before episode 1 premiered, Wikipedia, Gunota headlines or forums related to Mobile Suit Gundam 00 stated that Tieria is a boy with a "rare kind of beauty." His history, nationality, and origins are all a mystery.

FACEPALM.JPG asked why must we have emo lead characters. I think
FACEPALM.JPG said the lead character, Setsuna F. Seiei, also pilot of
the Gundam Exia, is emo because he hardly talks isn't it? Well, as a
reminder, Setsuna is described as a person who doesn't speak much and
comes off as a knowledgeable young man. If that is the case he is
described as emo by FACEPALM.JPG, then what about Heero Yuy from the
Gundam Wing series? Come to think about it, I think Shinn Asuka from
Gundam Seed Destiny is more emo than Setsuna or Heero.

FACEPALM.JPG also asked why are there lead characters who are
barely teens pilot giant mechas. I do not find that weird because most
of the pilots from other gundam series are barely teens too. For
example, from the Cosmic Era timeline, Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala,
Cagalli Yula Athha and Shinn Asuka are all 16 years old when they were
first seen piloting their respective mobile suits. Nicol Amalfi, pilot
of the Blitz Gundam is even younger when he was first seen piloting
his own mobile suit, which is 15 years old. The characters who are
first seen piloting their own mobile suits at the age of 17 are Dearka
Elsman, Yzak Joule, Rey Za Burrel, Lunamaria Hawke and Canard Pars, a
failed prototype of the "Ultimate Coordinator" project who pilots the
Hyperion Gundam unit 1. From the After Colony timeline, the few main
characters from Gundam Wing are all 15 years old when they are first
seen piloting their own gundams, except Trowa Barton and Zechs
Merquise. From the Universal Century timeline, Amuro Ray, the lead
character from the first gundam series produced is 16 years old when
first seen piloting the Gundam.

That is all I want to say. I hope whatever I stated above will be read
by FACEPALM.JPG and hopes he will change his opinion towards Gundam
00.
