but still.... around 17-21 sec average omg shocking.gif
sure lose if challenge you sweat.gif
f2l is easy,oll pll is hard  cry.gif
*
F2L could be hard when you want to achieve something like 'able to complete all 4 pairs without pausing, all in a constant flow'......

Anyway, PLL is quite easy, OLL is harder......

About the scramble, normally I follow them, and usually I can get what the picture shows........
It's not really important, but that's the easiest way to make sure your cube is scrambled properly......

Now 2 of you are the most active ones in this thread, lol......

I'm learning the full OLL for now, progressing quite slow because of my heavy school work and my finals is coming soon......

By the way, does memorizing F2L algorithms help??? I mean, is it effective to cut down your F2L time???

Theoretically, memorizing algorithms will make your muscle work at a faster rate (muscle memory), so it should be faster.

But I don't know since I'm intuitive laugh.gif

But my intuitive also a lot on muscle memory. But still need to 'see' when I turn as sometimes I flip to the wrong side lol.
*
Hmm, sounds logical.....
Although I'm using intuitive F2L, but I've kinda created my own algorithms, so it's implemented to my muscles, lol......
I'm sure some of them are not minimal in moves, but at least I execute them smoothly....

So while I'm inserting a pair, I'm already looking for the next....

I'm still mastering my cross. I can't lookahead during the 15secs as I'll get lost.

I go impromptu and seems faster that way lol as I don't give a shit to shorter turns as long as I get the cross done.

Nice you create your own algos. I need to learn lookahead for F2L already, not that good in it.
*
Hmm, my skills on setting up the cross is still weak as well.....those strong cubers are able to plan the moves for the cross, and even the 1st pair if possible, during the 15sec inspection.....

And I just able to plan to set up 2 or 3 edge pieces of the cross during inspection, or set up whole thing if the cross was easy....

For easier look ahead for setting up pairs, most of the cubers will do the cross on the bottom face as well, so while setting up the cross, they can already looking for pair pieces on top angle.....
This is even tougher to do, lol.......

Can try the Action City at the Gardens....they sell Eastsheen 2x2x2.....price more or less the same with Rubik's brand, but turns much more better.....

QUOTE(DonutZai @ Jun 6 2010, 03:22 AM)
^ thats for decoration only.
cuz 99% who have it cant solve it.
*
If you can solve a 7x7x7, you can solve 11x11x11 without much problem.....

My PB for 3x3x3 average of 5 is around 24.xx, for average of 12 is 27.xx....

Not fast at all.....there's no way such touch technology can keep up with our much faster hands. For example, look at Nakajima's TPS O.O
*
True, it's not that fun anyway, very similar to playing a virtual cube, like playing 1 in Gabbasoft using computer.....

Playing with a real cube would be more better, well, that's what I think.....

Where to buy V-Cube 7x7x7 in KL area?
*
I saw Action City in The Gardens mall selling V-cubes 5 to 7 few months ago, not sure if they're still selling though.
Besides, you can try buying from 28Spin also:
http://www.28spin.com/v5/index.php/

By the way, I believe most cubers don't follow this thread now, any cubers who have not join Malaysian Cube Club facebook group, can join at this link:

For cube and replacement stickers, you can try buying it from 'jeanspearly', she's a popular cube seller in Malaysia:
http://www.facebook.com/jeanspearly

As for silicone spray, you can buy CRC brand, heavy duty type if I'm not mistaken, at Ace Hardware store, there's 1 in Midvalley...

Does anyone know where I can Dayan cubes?
*
Hi guys,
To buy cubing puzzles I highly recommend an online store based in JB.
I'd say most of the M'sian cubers buy their cubes from her.

Links:
FB page
Online Store

Besides, as you all can see, the Rubik's thread over here is very quiet. I would also like to recommend you guys to join our Malaysian Cube Club FB page, most of our cubers are using that right now.

Speed solving it .. it's better to relaxed solved it.. unless you are going for speed championship. Then again in tourney, you need to play with 2x2 up to 4x4 or 6x6. Depend on tourney requirement.
*
You shouldn't stop after knowing how to solve it, why not challenge yourself and see how far you can go by going for speed solving?
FYI 7x7x7 is also an official WCA competition event. That doesn't stop there, WCA have events for blindfolded solving, one-handed solving, feet solving for Rubik's Cube, and also events for non-cuboid puzzles. Usually you get to choose which events you want to enter, so it's ok if you just know how to solve 3x3, you can go for competition and make friends.

Pretty fast improvement, keep it up. Sub-20 average should be within sight pretty soon.

QUOTE(Acerpeng229 @ Nov 25 2014, 10:54 AM)
Anyone know where to get cube sticker replacements? I've seen cubesmith but I prefer a brick and mortar store.
*
Brick and mortar store? You mean like a physical store? Well I'm afraid it's not that common in Malaysia, I don't see much toy shops selling Rubik's Cube nowadays, let alone replacement stickers.
Most of us buy from an online store called JPearly, it's reliable, I bought quite a lot of cubes from her before.

Oh, and lastly, would like to let you all know that most Malaysian cubers usually interact in a FB group called Malaysian Cube Club, feel free to join us in the group.

I just started cubing back only la tongue.gif

Still lazy to learn the full OLL/PLL though sweat.gif
*
So you're using 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL right now? If that's the case then you can be under sub-20 in no time once you mastered full OLL and PLL.

Yeah, 2 look OLL and PLL is damn slow.

And the first part to align the cross, also I'm horribly slow.
*
2 look OLL and PLL can be fast also, I've seen people achieve sub-20 before with that.
You can start by mastering PLL first, since it's lesser cases to master. Then only start learning the remaining OLLs.

Setting up cross will need a lot of practice to make the moves optimal, I doubt I'm fast enough for that also right now. It takes quite some efforts, but I believe eventually your hard work will be paid off.
