Anyone know where to get cube sticker replacements? I've seen cubesmith but I prefer a brick and mortar store.

QUOTE(TruthHurts @ Oct 29 2014, 11:19 AM) Speed solving it .. it's better to relaxed solved it.. unless you are going for speed championship. Then again in tourney, you need to play with 2x2 up to 4x4 or 6x6. Depend on tourney requirement. You shouldn't stop after knowing how to solve it, why not challenge yourself and see how far you can go by going for speed solving?FYI 7x7x7 is also an official WCA competition event. That doesn't stop there, WCA have events for blindfolded solving, one-handed solving, feet solving for Rubik's Cube, and also events for non-cuboid puzzles. Usually you get to choose which events you want to enter, so it's ok if you just know how to solve 3x3, you can go for competition and make friends. QUOTE(-kytz- @ Nov 11 2014, 05:33 PM) Pretty fast improvement, keep it up. Sub-20 average should be within sight pretty soon.QUOTE(Acerpeng229 @ Nov 25 2014, 10:54 AM) Anyone know where to get cube sticker replacements? Well I'm afraid it's not that common in Malaysia, I don't see much toy shops selling Rubik's Cube nowadays, let alone replacement stickers. Most of us buy from an online store called JPearly, it's reliable, I bought quite a lot of cubes from her before. Oh, and lastly, would like to let you all know that most Malaysian cubers usually interact in a FB group called Malaysian Cube Club, feel free to join us in the group. |

QUOTE(chungdavi @ Dec 1 2014, 12:43 PM) So you're using 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL right now? If that's the case then you can be under sub-20 in no time once you mastered full OLL and PLL. Yeah, 2 look OLL and PLL is damn slow. And the first part to align the cross, also I'm horribly slow. This post has been edited by -kytz-: Dec 1 2014, 02:44 PM |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 1 2014, 02:42 PM) Yeah, 2 look OLL and PLL is damn slow. 2 look OLL and PLL can be fast also, I've seen people achieve sub-20 before with that. And the first part to align the cross, also I'm horribly slow. You can start by mastering PLL first, since it's lesser cases to master. Then only start learning the remaining OLLs. Setting up cross will need a lot of practice to make the moves optimal, I doubt I'm fast enough for that also right now. It takes quite some efforts, but I believe eventually your hard work will be paid off. This post has been edited by chungdavi: Dec 2 2014, 10:39 AM |

i bought this childhood item again (original one lost) sometime after i saw its anniversary again (on the google doodle thing). from then until now, can only get 3 sides right :s
it's still a pretty cool time-occupier though...helps me relax my eyes from the com during work, or kill time when in the car waiting for whoever to come out of the house and wow is it a people magnet |

I`m not really pro (not those <10 seconds cubers) My record 1 min 31 seconds. Took me 3-4 days to solve without looking at guide.

In case there's some cubers here who's not aware of this, there will be a WCA sanctioned competition held in Malaysia on 18th and 19th December 2015. It's at KDU Uni College in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Reviving this thread, any cuber still around? I am using mainly 3x3. I recently went crazy and bought the megamophix 2x2, pyramix 3x3, 2x2x3, 2x2, 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 after a year on the 3x3. Suprising I manage to learn to solve all in a day. Which is true when they say you know the 3x3 you already can easily pick up the others. That is aside from the bigger cube of 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 which took me a few day to memorize and execute the algorithm for OLL and PLL parity effectively.
