Bought Rubik's cube key chain just for leisure and easy for me to carry anywhere. But it easily stuck and I'm quite irritated by it. I expect something better for such expensive price *sigh*
*
I don't really understand why, but Rubik's brand cube at Toys R Us are the most expensive cubes, and yet their turnings are some of the worst turnings you can get......

Do you mean the Malaysia record or the world record???

Malaysia best record is Mohamad Azraei 11.28 seconds:

World record holder is Erik Akkersdijk from Netherlands, with the time 7.08 seconds:

So far I know certificate will be given for participants......

Not sure about the selling of merchandise though......
Maybe you can try to ask around the Malaysian Cube Forum:

where can I get v-cube 7x7x7
and MF8 MegaMinx in KL area?

thanks...

btw dont get the rubik's 5x5x5, jam a lot sad.gif
get the v-cube one better
*
I don't think there's any store selling those puzzles yet, unless you're talking about chinaminx or china brand 7x7x7, lol......

So, probably you have to buy from websites....

And yeah, Rubik's brand cubes turns badly......finger tricks is impossible.....
From 2x2x2 to 5x5x5, none of it turns well......

You mean the stackmat timer???
I bought 1 during Malaysian Cube Open 2009, the timer itself already costs me RM88.....haven't include the stackmat.....

Not sure where you can get it, but you can try to ask around at this group:

Hmm, quite a good time, consider you're using the beginner's method......

You can try searching around the Internet for F2L algorithms.....even though you're not encouraged to memorize them, but it's a way to start.....

By the way, you might wanna learn 2-Look OLL and full PLL.....which can cut down your time quite a lot also.....

Guys...this is my video

Did a fast time of 47 seconds using cross,F2L,beginner's OLL and PLL...PB is 39sec

Yeah....one of my main weaknesses in my F2L is finding the pairs and positioning them sigh sweat.gif

Any comments are greatly appreciated icon_rolleyes.gif

*
Hmm, basically the thing which slowed you down is the delay when you stop and look for the F2L pair....
You can try to avoid that by looking at the next pair already while you're inserting 1......of course, this needs some practice.....

By the way, try to execute OLL and PLL faster also.......then you should be at least able to sub-40 in average soon......

My F2L really sucks sad.gif Finding the next pair while inserting is really really tough...

And also if u observe my video properly...u can see that i always hold onto a corner piece and drag it around the cube to find the other pair doh.gif That's because i need to face the corner piece in front while the other piece is at the opposite end..

And one more thing...i can't do back/side insertion(when inserting F2L pair...i need to face the corner cube...while other people can do it at the back...meaning using different fingering)
Yar, try practicing a lot, then you might be able to start looking forward....

It's ok with cube rotation actually, normally when you've developed the 'looking forward' skill, you would be doing something like inserting a pair while rotating the cube to look for the next pair........that's what I'm doing......

Hmm, I'm bad in back insertion also, in fact, I don't think I'm using it though......

But with my current technique, I've already achieved sub-30 average before......

awesome solve frankooi! rclxms.gif

Like other pro cubers i also noticed you use your right hand to do all the F2L pair insertion and setting up...I definitely need to practice on just using my right hand sad.gif Any tips?Look back at my video i posted before and you'll see my major flaw sad.gif

Hmm, this is what I found out also while solving, I tend to do the R U R' U' more smoothly compared to L' U' L U.......
In fact, I'm a left handle.....but I don't think that matters anyway.......

You would have to do cube rotations sometimes, if you find the angle of insertion the pair uncomfortable.....not sure whether that'll slow down much.....
