so big budget, u can consider LYC and Little Precious too. firstly, filter through ur list by reading comments and reviews in their social media. next, call them to visit them to find out more. u need to go see hows their service, room, food, massage and services provided

you could try Amazing @ Damansara Perdana. Same building as Esther and just opened mid-2022. I have booked them after looking at a few places. Damage is 15k

another you could look at is The Senses @ Kelana Jaya. Opposite the Golf Course.

I would suggest you take into account your location and your hospital location then decide.

Hi Guys! Just out of curiousity instead of making a new thread..

Just started surveying for a confinement centre and was wondering if the prices in their brochures are fixed?

Or do some of the centres give discounts during certain part of the month such as, 11.11 sale, year end sale, cny sale etc..

Prices changes also depends on which month you're booking them. Say, peak/holiday period like CNY, expensive.
But if you book much earlier say like August/September where I am sure their booking sheet is still empty/low, then they can offer you better rates / you can have better negotiation power.

If they only have 1 or 2 rooms left for say, Jan or Feb (ignore the CNY season factor), people will die die pay because everywhere else is pretty much full and customer doesn't have much choices, they will not lower the rates for you.

Every price you see is usually just a starting price (which could be their final price if there isn't much rooms left) but they will always give a lower rate than the starting price usually. So best you decide and book as soon as you can.
Sometimes minus here and there if you take say lesser massage session etc.

Went to Esther Damansara Perdana 2 years back when facility was still new. Place is ok, care is ok, nurse is patient (but I heard complaints from other mothers with higher needs babies), food is the part I like the most- but I know the same caterer also catering other centres/home. I think you need to consider the location as your options in the list are quite disperse. U need to consider the location of your caretaker (say husband) and your hospital for checkup - which u wouldn't want to get stuck in traffic with post partum body and crying baby.

i agree with ensuring its close to the hospital you deliver too.

i went to The Senses @ Kelana Jaya and was very happy that i chose it cos i delivered in SJMC and my eldest go to a kindy in Kelana Jaya

so my hsuband drop off my kid @ kindy, then 5 mins will reach me, then another 5 mins to SJMC for checkup - very good location for me.

My next child will be here again. Both of us super satisfy!

1. 5 meals a day, the food is tasty and their food presentation can feed well your wife’s IG
2. We got free upgrade to gold package which felt like staying in 5 star hotels. (Their room is quite big)
3. CCTV to see your newborn via their apps
4. Good for me as very near to MV, as a daddy is like a grab food heaven. (They have inhouse restaurant and I heard is good too,. I didn’t get to try as I always order grabfood)
5. Nurses and doctor there very patient to teach us from A-Z

Rating 10/10.

Had a terrible experience in Esther Postpartum Centre, Hartamas.

Our baby (a week old) contracted viral infection, rushed him to the hospital and was admitted. It was so distressing and the hospital bill came up to a bomb. They charged us money to have the confinement food delivered to us at the hospital. Found out later that another baby there was admitted to NICU for viral infection. Too crowded, no appropriate spacing between the babies.

Our baby also had diaper rash that could not go away. During his hospitalisation at the pediatric ward, his diaper rash recovered. Suspect they don't change him frequently and many times they brought our son from the nursery, he is soiled.

Housekeeping standard quite terrible. Spilled soya milk and the floor was sticky for days (did not bother to Mop properly).

Complained to management but no response also. Apparently another friend of mine faced the same issue - viral infection at Damansara Perdana branch.

Paid about RM26k for this nightmare. Only saving grace is the food is good.
