US sales tax or local customs tax?

US tax should be 6-8% depends on stage.

TurboSIM + Actiavated iPhone + Maxis does not get call-in, don't be cheated or fooled.
Like above mentioned it's the telco issue. All attempt with various method doesn't work on user end.

My pal been using TurboSIM with his AT&T activated iPhone since day1. No call in.

Hahah, you have a higher retainance level (read: patience) level than i do. The minute i knew DiGi was the only EDGE player around, the choice was painfully obvious. tongue.gif

I can answer for Celcom and DiGi APNs.

Celcom's is "wap.celcom.net.my" for postpaid, or "celcom" for prepaid. Leave other fields blank.

DiGi is ""diginet", for both prepaid and postpaid. Leave other fields blank.

Other telco also have EDGE, but that's secondary for their 3G plans.
I think I will keep my voice to Maxis, data on my iPhone.

I think Maxis and Celcom only have GPRS besides their 3G licenses, they skipped EDGE entirely. So my statement about DiGi being only EDGE player around is true. GPRS is not EDGE by the way, although you can use the setting to access the much slower GPRS network.

Oh sir... Maxis have it... just that they're not proud of em...

Say, did you guys change your root password? Better do it, else next time I see you at starbuck, I can get nasty tongue.gif

Phew, just had my very technical talk with the telco dude.
Apparently the Maxis call in issue is because the iPhone hardware design. The iPhone have SS7 footprint compatibility issue, casuing frequency timesync problem. That's according to the dude.

Added on October 17, 2007, 9:59 amProceed with extra care if anyone want 1.1.1, you need to return your unlocked iPhone to virgin state. Do not attempt upgrade to 1.1.1 in unlock state.

Now the ball are at Maxis bosses, whether they want to take the trouble to fix it.
Anyway, this is just what "I've been told", how true is it, I have no idea.
