hey...anyone can enlighten me what is IMAP?

For the PMs received regarding the unlocking process, i dont know how much clearer i can be with my RUJU unlocking guide. And with better automated jailbreaks available now, i dont mind if that RUJU guide sinks to latter pages, because those processes in the RUJU guide are more of events singly-initiated , rather than automated. Search for these at Hackint0sh forums or other iPhone unlocking pages, Google is your best friend here.

I dont mind doing it for you, but i hold no responsibility if anything happens for the worse on your iPhones. You too will have to provide a WinXP laptop for this process, for i have sold my laptop used for these process in favor of a Macbook, and i dare not dabble into Mac OS X hackeries until im fully comfortable with the OS itself.

But if you ask me, these guides cannot be more self explanatory than they are. IF they are a little too technical, look for the more automated ones at HAcint0sh forums. All im providing in that RUJU guide is my own personal experience doing the unlocking on my own iPhone.

Hey guys, so I'm tired of waiting for google to access IMAP on my iphone so I've finally switched to Yahoo (and I've also got a better username on their mail servers

Question -- I've recently setup push e-mail with Yahoo which works fantastically; now, will my e-mail only push when i'm in a wi-fi area, or does it work with EDGE too?

Just out of curiosity, how do the PUSH servers know to send the e-maills to your phone? When you connect to edge does the Mail client broadcast your ip address? Wouldn't that amount to significant amount of $ if you are not subscribed to a data plan? I would just like to know if it would cost me a significant amount of money if I do not have an unlimited data plan with my cell phone service.

here the data price without data plan lagi ridiculous. someone(friends) use my friend iphone for youtube and it's 14mb.. later he found out the charge is 1 cent usd per kb.. so for 14mb it's 140usd

In other words, turn off Push e-mail, and don't ever open the Mail program unless you're in a wi-fi zone

Megatron, they won't let you buy with a gift card or cash, only credit card. They sometimes ask for ID too, so if you look foreign and don't have a US state issued driver's license, I don't know if they'll sell you the iPhones. The sales person at the Apple Store said it's limited to two for life (?) although I haven't tried using a separate credit card yet.

The experience at the Apple Store was very annoying. I wonder how irwan is getting his stock...

Yup, got a few too as well. Problem is, iPhone cannot process SMSes with sender header that contain alphabets. Which is the reason why I went Unlimited data package, subscribe and forget about it. If I'm using pay-per-use, my usage report may get screwed up if it comes from DiGi with this sender header.

Word of advice, it is wise to try the service out before go in full speed ahead. Some may not like the speed, or unable to adjust to this speed compared to your previous connection. Me? I had enough with Celcom's lies with their speed, and kept upping up the package price just to get what I want. Circumsized the 3G off, now staying with the Minutes plan only.
