Btw, our injuries list also quite long.
Most of them is not lineup players, but it started to become worrying if it continue.

For sure it affecting squad depth.
For example, there is no pure replacement or competition for Diogo Dalot, which is not good.

B.Williams
AWB
Maguire
Tuanzebe
VDB
Phil Jones
Martial (?)

He's born injured. It's when he is fit, we gotta ask how.

Look at that pass from Casemiro to CR7 for the goal. Instinctive. No lag.
Once he dispossese Everton on the ball he just knows where to go.

Case get a good education today on the physicality of playing DM. there is absolutely nowhere to hide.

A 6.5 out of 10 for me.

Martial does not do himself any favour, 30 mins and injured. As a manager I will not plan with him in starting 11. Waste of 1 sub and training drills.

Few positive takeaways from this game

1. Shaw is fit again, he cut few kg away and looks lighter than first 2 games

2. Ronaldo 700th goal finally come, hopefully this will kick start his season

3. Casemiro first taste of full EPL game and know how physical EPL game is but apart from first mistake and few easy miss passed, he did quite decent.

Actually ETH can deploy 2 DM, Fred x Case or McTom x Case combo cuz Eriksen easily get exposed when Casemiro lose possession, just like 1st goal

Another thing to worry is Dalot, he miss passed quite a numbers and we don’t have a proper right back to challenge him now with AWB and BW are out injured

Martial, well….

Yes, he was boxing the left flank, so aggressive and bullying Gordon for the whole game!

Since the start of the season, the team has improved in several small increments. Small, but increments nonetheless. Still far from where we want to be but the season was always going to be one of transition.
One area of concern is space utilisation during the attacking transition. As the team gels, this should get better. In the game against Everton, first half was too end to end for ETH's liking and second half was more an exercise in control. The team making the second pass instead of the vertical one. Apart from the last section of the second half, it was measured.

Casemiro is expected to grow into the CDM position in ETH's system after spending time familiarizing in training. Good early signs are there and fans will breathe a sigh of relief McFred is absent from the equation for the first time in years. Casemiro interprets the CDM role differently than what ETH's system wants, hence the bedding in period.

After the City game, ETH was the target of much criticism even from pundits. I say we need to take everything into context. Really nobody should expect us to beat City after they got Haaland and the difference in quality showed. I am of the opinion we should give credit where credit is due based on progress. Manchester United is not going to play free flowing football this season. That is not the expectation. But after the first two losses which prompted transfer action from the club, Manchester United have won 5 out of the last 6 League games. Losing to City yes, but we beat Arsenal and Liverpool in that run. After that 4-0 defeat to Brentford, such a run would be considered a dream run. We are really a sixth place club, and are fifth by virtue of Liverpool's bad season with the same few clubs above us. For fans, have faith and trust the process.

Anthony always on 1 vs 2, no attempt to dribble, take easier route. Hopefully Dalot can be more adventurous to help him next time.

yea dalot misplaced passes is worrying and everton not even try to press him... and there is no competition for him... since other right backs all injured or loaned out...
