Dry rotted.

Please change.

Otherwise, during an emergency, the treads will break free and no grip.

check side wall manufacturing date
I assume your car is new car year 2020
then you can file a claim with manufacturer.

but if your car is old car, then better change the tire immediately.

Just change it. It's the only thing which is holding you between heaven and earth when you really need it at the most.
God already give you tell tale sign yet you choose to ignore it

Sudah keras. Rubber after long time expose to heat and sun will harden and easily crack. these tyres are very dangerous and does not provide good grips and kalau masa hujan, mampus sure licin.

It is safe for continuing use as the tread depth is no where near tyre wear indicator depth of 1.6 mm .

Both front tyres, or same tyre on one side?

I think your tyre(s?) have quite bad wheel alignment angles causing the outer edge wear and uneven wear.

Mind sharing the alignment print out, if you had done one? Otherwise recommend to check (and adjust) alignment to preserve tyre longevity.

OMG, tire hardened like this, breaking into pieces still can use?
dont endanger yourself or others, and dont kedekut on safety

totally not worth it!!!!!!!

the hardened tire cannot even grip the road properly on dry, dont talk about wet surface.
imagine when you apply emergency brake and the tire treads break, what is giving you grip?

Did you go through bad/non-tar roads a lot? If yes then it is normal. Even Michelin tyres also suffer peel off despite their high price tag.

Agree, a lot of tire shop will use scare tactics to make people to change their tires earlier even if it is still able to use. If drive in bad road condition & always under the sun, minor crack and peel is normal. Even my Pirelli Scorpion Verde also suffer similar condition but almost 1 year+ using it also no issues.

thanks for the advise, will change it ASAP.

tried to check around the prices, it seem there is a lot different on pricing when i compare Klang's tyre shop vs PJ area, around RM100 different per pcs

The structure of the tyre comprising steel radial plies and nylon/canvass belts is intact and performing as designed.

Heck, the tyre structure is not even 'punished' with a minor or major impactful collision .

Tyre manufacturers do NOT recommend tyre replacement base on collision or impact, why would a cosmetic kacang putih abrasion on OP's tyre sacrificial (rubber) layers justify a tyre replacement????

It doesn't even justify minor or major 'repair' or 'touch up'.

Hence, what we have here is purely fear mongering without technical and structural basis.

Note: Are punctured tyres (with structural steel plies and belts being punched through by iron nails and screws) being typically recommended for tyre replacement???

Just a heads up. If you tend to drive fast, these type of tires with big tread blocks arent really designed for this. I would recommend you look at the SUV specific tires e.g. primacy suv or UC6 SUV tires where they are more like car tires but have larger sizes for SUV. If you drive off road, then you will have no choice but to buy these type of tires. Just make sure to not speed too much to avoid this reoccuring.

Also make sure to check your alignment.

If drive offroad will need to go for those with A/T rated or at least M+S rated. I am aiming Falken Wildtrek A/T now, since i go offroad a lot to do my outdoor activities. Falken is bringing a lot of common size for SUV under their wildtrek A/T tires.
